Umbrella strollers

Hi,
I think I read on this board, (a long time ago), about a clip you can purchase to connect two umbrella strollers, and make a double umbrella. Anyone know anything about this? Where can I get them? TIA

im pretty sure toys r us has them. Google it and make sure. I dont like umbrella strollers and my DH says we wont have anything other than a jogger.....hopefully a single when we go in september....but who knows...

I bought those connectors from a catalog called One Step Beyond. I also order handle extenders for the stroller for my husband since he is taller and hated having to lean over to push it.

I can't tell you how many Dads can up to us at Disney asking where they could get those extenders!

I loved taking the umbrella strollers for my kids. Lightweigt, easy to pack up and didn't worry about them being stolen.

This was the thought. Umbrella strollers are just easier. My DDs have very nice joggers, and they are great for outings here. But, may be to big and bulky for traveling.

I ordered a set of the clips from Amazon before we went. I don't remember the brand. They are ok. Good for when your husband starts riding a segway and forgets about you and the children...

DH likes them for when he is pushing the strollers through the airport. They make my strollers (mclaren) a little hard to steer for me, but he doesn't seem to mind. Perhaps I am just wimpy.

Try them out before you go. We bought them before our last trip and they make it very difficult to steer (I think it is the 4 sets of wheels that causes a problem)- luckly we tested them alot before trip. We ended up buying a Jeep All Weather double umbrella stroller and loved it (sun shade is bad though). It was very easy to steer. Bought it new online for $69.99 (shipping included). It is light and comfy for the kids. Easy to manage on disney busses.

I bought mine at Babies R Us (Prince Lionheart brand) and we used them only to clip our strollers together when we parked them outside a ride/restaurant so they wouldn't get separated or lost. We saw a few people using them to push the strollers and they seemed to work well -- good luck and have a great trip!
