We waited just a few minutes for an MGM-bound Friendship to arrive. Unfortunately, this ship moved slower than we thought possible, and it took us almost 45 minutes to get to MGM!

It should take about 15 minutes. By the time we arrived, I had to use the ladies room very badly, so I ran to our right after entering the park while Laura and Kevin went into guest services to collect Laura’s phone. They said it was a bizarre experience, and it seemed like the CMs did not want to give Laura her phone, despite her describing it and them having said on the phone earlier that we could pick it up there.

Despite the strange experience, Laura was able to get her phone and we ran out to the bus area to catch a bus to the Magic Kingdom – this was one of the only nights of our trip that Spectro was scheduled for, so we really wanted to go. We waited in the TTC bus line for about 10 minutes. When a bus was finally approaching, we realized there would be no point in trying to make it to the MK for Spectro – it was about 10 minutes until Spectro’s scheduled start time, so with a 15-minute bus ride and then 10 minutes to get from the TTC to the MK (best case scenario), then security and entering the park, we knew we wouldn't catch Spectro even if we ran to the end of Frontierland. We decided it wasn’t worth it to travel to the MK when the park would be open for less than an hour after we arrived, so we left the bus line and reentered MGM.
We headed back to the Tower, which luckily had no wait, and were soon entering our elevator.
Laura and Kevin ducked in the picture, and my job was to look confused about what was going on (since I refused to go along with the ducking plan). Since they were ducked down, Laura and Kevy had no idea when the picture was taken, so they kept attempting to pop up and I had to hit them to get back down because the pic had not yet been taken.

They said not knowing when we were dropping made for a much better, more exciting ride. I was just fine with the regular ride! When taking this redneck photo of our ride pic, we heard all of the other riders in our car ask what in the world was going on in the front right of the car.

If our goal was to perplex, we had definitely succeeded.
With no real plan in mind, we wandered around enjoying the lovely night, and found ourselves back in the Star Tours area. We talked about whether we wanted to ride Star Tours or the Muppets, but I said I’d prefer to just watch Michael Scott. Laura and Kevy agreed, so we headed out of MGM and Friendshipped it back to the Beach Club.
We of course stopped in the lounge to enjoy some desserts.
Back in our room, we watched some Bachelor wedding (well, Kevy watched most of it while Laura and I saw bits between showers and doing our hair) and some Office on DVD – love that CL rooms have DVD players in them! Once again, we called it an early night.
Up next: we venture outside of the Disney gates!
