Ultimate Ticket Upgrade to AP

I'm sure this has been asked before but can't see it recently. Does anyone have any recent experience of upgrading an ultimate to annual pass?

We have a trip in POFQ with upgraded dining in August and have just booked another trip for December, if we could upgrade we'd also do another trip early summer 2018 so an annual pass makes financial sense.

I've read previous threads where people have had mixed results but if we can get three trips it seems to make good financial sense given the relative price increases recently!
