Ultimate Park Hopper Tickets

Are Ultimate Park Hopper Tickets only available through the Disney Hotel you stay at? Is there any way to get a discount on these (I am a DVC member so I think I get 10%)

also - do these tickets kick in on your first day no matter what (I think they're called "length of stay") or can you shave off the first and last day of your trip (we won't be arriving until 4:00 p.m. first day)

sorry if this question is a little unclear - I find these passes a little confusing.

Hi, we just got back and we bought the UPHT. We had to wait until we got to the hotel to buy them but we stayed at the Swan. I think you can purchase them in advance if you stay at a Disney resort. We were allowed to pick when our passes started and when they ended. This cut out the 1/2 day in the begining and at the end of our trip. Hope this helped! Enjoy your trip.

If you buy them ahead of time through CRO and your DC discount then they can't take any days off. If you wait until you check in then they have the flexibility to take first and last days off but there is no discount.
