Hello

I have rented DVC points for me and my husband's first Disneyworld trip this December. We are coming from Australia so I have a lot of questions. The main question is about the ultimate park hopper pass. We were only able to secure a reservation at OKW from Dec. 10 - 16. For the dates of Dec 6 -10 we are staying at AKL. Are we able to purchase the ultimate park hopper for the entire stay or do we have to purchase it once for our stay at AKL and again for our stay at OKW.

Hope that made sense.

Thanks Willow

You'll have to get two of them. Make sure that they either drop the last day on your first one or the first day on your last one. Otherwise you'll be paying for that day twice.

But you might consider getting an annual pass instead. It might be cheaper for you.

Willow: Go to http://www.mousesavers.com/specwdwtix.html and scroll down until you find the section on the "30-Day Fun in the Sun Pass". According to mousesavers:

"The 30-Day Fun in the Sun pass, which is not available at the park gates, is promoted by Disney only in certain countries, including France, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Australia. You can purchase the Fun in the Sun pass at major travel agencies in those countries."

mousesavers further says: "This pass is an excellent bargain for those who will be visiting Walt Disney World for longer than a week, since the price is only a little more than the cost of a 7-Day Park Hopper Plus purchased at the theme park gates, while the Fun in the Sun pass is good for unlimited admission for 30 consecutive days to the [listed] parks (some attractions are outside WDW).

In Australia the price is around A$600-A$625 for adults and A$475-A$500 for children (ages 3-9 years). keithprowse.com.au is one source of these passes.

Besides the annual pass that Bill & Deb mentioned, you might also want to check into this. I have no personal knowledge of the 30-day fun in the sun pass. Perhaps there is someone on this board who can post from personal experience. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do!

We are using them for two trips that covers both December and January. They include Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, the water parks and the four major parks as well. (This is exactly what the UMP covers.)

We got ours from www.discountorlandovacation.com. It came to $315 US including tax and it includes a meal voucher for a character breakfast. This also includes some other Florida attractions such as the Kennedy Space center.

We got our tickets promptly with no fuss.

Susan, as a U.S. citizen, did you have any problems using the FITS? I read on mousesavers.com that U.S. citizens sometimes get hassled at WDW for using these passes. Thanks!

FITS or Annual Pass, may be the way to go!!! Have a good trip... Does anyone have any additional info about FITS passes in the US, and why they only make those readily available outside the US????

www.mousesavers.com has quite a bit of information on the FITS passes although it doesn't specifically address why these are offered only to certain countries outside the U.S.? Because the cost is quite good, it's probably used as a incentive / marketing tool to draw foreigners.

Keep in mind that you may not want to go to any of the water parks in December. Also, it is my understanding that WDW is no longer charging to get into Pleasure Island-just charges to go into some of the clubs. I would look into a regular annual pass.

Good point! In addition, Blizzard Beach is closed from October 24-December 11 for refurbishment. Work then begins at Typhoon Lagoon starting December 12.
