UK WDW travel paperwork question

Just got all my paperwork for our trip in 5 weeks and when ready through all the infomation it states that taxes and gratuities are not included and may be out on the KTTW card

I knew the tip was not included but thought that taxes were included??

We upgraded from the counter service plan to the regular dining plan

what document are you reading? I understand from that the DDP on WDW website that you do have to pay for gratuities and apps are not included, so i have budgeted for these.

not all items are subject to Tax anyway- so maybe the small print is just covering in case there is a change in the law.

in the info book thta comes with, on the dining plage on the right it mentions it

I just read the stuff on the usa disney site and cant find anything to do with taxes as I like yourself just budgeted for apps and the tip

Slightly OT but I gather then that you can still pay the extra for the apps and other items if required then?
