UK Visitors views of staying at Beach Club

Our very first time staying onsite (finally took the plunge due to free DDP). What are you views of staying onsite. We didn't have a choice of view - they only offered standard view. How many of you were upgraded (what are the chances) we're staying 3rd - 10th August 2013. It'll be our 21st wedding anniversary on the 8th August. Have booked with complete orlando.

Happy anniversary!!

My view (and many others) is that once you've stayed on site, you won't ever go back. And you've picked a beautiful resort with a great pool.

Upgrades are unlikely, but you should note your anniversary celebration with the hotel to give you a chance. You could always request to see how much it costs and they may upgrade you for free.

we're staying at the YC 28th Sept till 8th Oct. This will be our 2nd time there as the 1st time we went we absolutely LOVED it.

The location was superb, being able to walk to EPCOT , HS and the Boardwalk was brilliant. The boys loved the pool and the Disney service was second to none.

We stayed at BC in 2010 and loved it.Its true once you've stayed onsite its hard to do it any other way.SAB is undoubtably the best pool at any Disney resort.We requested a room as close to EPCOT as possible and got a room on the ground floor (1511), anywhere between 1501-1530 is close to EPCOT,It was exactly 3 minutes from our door to International Gateway,there is a secret entrance so you don't have to go through the lobby
This time we stayed at the Yacht Club,we booked a standard view and got upgraded to a lagoon view We never asked for an upgrade,we were just sprinkled with lots of pixie dust, i think an upgrade is pure luck.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Our view has been upgraded every time we have stayed at either the Yacht or the Beach Club we've always booked a standard view and always been upgraded to either a pool or lagoon view, you should deffo make sure they know you are celebrating your anniversary, obviously you never know you may be as lucky as we have been.

Great resort, great location - I really liked the decor of the rooms at the beach Club and the beds are really comfy and sooo inviting!

first time staying at BC this trip, we did a wander around last October as we have regularly been to the Boardwalk area but never stayed over there. Loved the inside areas and the outside are of BC and Yc. We have always stayed onsite and love it. The location of BC is what made us decde to go there this trip.

We will be staying at the Yacht Club for first time this August. Fingers crossed for a free upgrade.
