We are DVC members and normally buy annual passes hoping to get 2 years. That won't work for our next trip and we also have a cruise so we are thinking about the 7 day Uk Ultimate tickets. However, I don't really understand the set up. We plan 7 park days. how many water parks days can we have if we visit the parks on 7 days on an ultimate ticket?

ultimates are all inclusive

it's unlimited access for the duration of the pass

think of it as a premium AP that lasts only 7 days. This also means that they are 7 consecutive days and the ticket expires 7 days from activation wether all entries have been used or not.
If you need 7 days of park over a period of 14 days, you'll probably want to get a 14 days ultimate at the same price.

7 days ultimate = unlimited visits to any of the 4 main parks and both waterparks, with hopper, for 7 consecutive days
14 days ultimate = unlimited visits to any of the 4 main parks and both waterparks, for 14 consecutive days

Thanks that clears that up perfectly. Looks like we need a 14 day pass even though we are only planning 7 park days. Great to know and glad the price is mostly the same.

Actuaslly, the 7 day ultimate ticket ticket expires 14 days from first use but permits 7 days of access to the parks over a 14 day period.

There is a great description of it here

Don't forget to compare the cost with, say, a Magic Your Way ticket too, as depending on whether you wanted to include the water parks and how many actual days you want, it could work out cheaper.

So you can only use the water parks for 7 days on a 14 day ultimate ticket? Have I understood that right?

No, a 14 day ultimate ticket allows 14 days of access to any of the 4 Disney theme parks or Disney water parks, with hopping permitted. So you could go to Magic Kingdom in the morning and Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon and that is just 1 day of access.

OP, to answer your original question, if you plan to visit the WDW parks for 7 days, you cannot visit the water parks as well (unless you do so on the same days as your theme park visits) as you only get 7 days of entry into the 4 main parks and the water parks.

^ sorry, excuse my last last post. I have now read the link and understand...that'll teach me! Lol

Thanks that totally clarifies. We have 6 days of parks and 3 days watermarks so we will go with the 14 day one.

A 6-day MYW with water parks would set you back just shy of $400 so £30 saving per person. Unless you absolutely want to be able to park hop. In which case a park hopper with water parks (MYW) would set you back $428 each - still a saving of £5 per person on the 14-day Ultimate (based on exchange rate of $1.55 to the £). Just a thought.

Good point but what is swinging it for me is the Ultimate comes with free memory maker for 2016 which seems like a good deal.

wow!!! that's a fantastic deal.
Memory Maker is very expensive.

we find that the 14 day ultimate is the best option for us as it gives the most flexibility at the best price.
We used to get PAPs for our 14 day trips, but they became so expensive, i switched to the 14 day ultimates.
