When are the fall breaks(holidays) from school planned for this year?

Here in England we do have a holiday break in October - called half-term - only a week for most children. My son's begins on Monday 27 October. I do know that different areas in England sometimes have different weeks off, although I think most will have the week I mentioned.

Are you planning on visiting?!

My DH family lives there and I could not reach them on the phone to see when my nephew"s holiday is because all circuits were busy.

In this part of the country (Essex) our autumn half term break is Mon 20th October for one week.

In this area (Leicestershire), October half term is 20th to 25th October.

I'm sure in my area the half term break is 13th to 17th October this year.

Marlouwrig - not all parts of Essex are 20th October. I am on the edges of Essex (Seven Kings, Ilford) and we don't break up until Monday 27th. Seems really late this year.

Ah well I live in the deepest wilds of Essex.

My brother lives in Brentwood and one DS goes to school in Chelmsford and the other in Ilford. Make planning trips to Mickey Mouse really difficult when holidays don't coincide

I also live very close to Chelmsford but right over the other side of town - I pass Gloucester Avenue on my way to work every morning.
