As I read the boards I am sencing that October will be busy. We are planning a trip the end of October. I read this is UK half term. What is this? For all those british out there, who will be attending the parks? Trying to get a feel for crowds. Will conventions be over by the 25,26 & 27th?

Thanks for the help! :earsgirl:

The UK school year is split up into 6 terms. We roughly get 7 weeks at school, a week off (half term) then another 7 weeks and 2 weeks off for Christmas. Then 7 weeks at school, another week off and 7 more weeks until 2 weeks off for easter. Then 7 weeks on, a week off and 7 more weeks until the summer where we have 6 weeks off. These are rough examples. The terms are changing slightly and more areas are having 2 weeks off for October half term. This is becoming a more popular time to go away as the prices are a bit cheaper.
