UK free dining promo questions

So yesterday mum started looking at CSR for 5 nights with the free QSDP. She rung Disney (unfortunately 2 rooms is a bit too out of our budget so sharing it is. Never mind. I don't expect we'll be in the room much anyway) and for some reason now thinks you don't need to purchase tickets to get the QSDP free.

The problem is that we can only get 7/14/21 day Ultimates and we're thinking of staying for 5 nights. What happens if we have days unused on tickets that are part of a package?

It's too early to get rates for Feb 2013 on the US site and by the time they come out, the UK offers will have finished. It's so confusing!

Thats true... to get the free meal plan... you have to buy tickets. In the US its like a 3-5 day ticket. You can get the 7day, stay the extra2 day, get the no expiration for future use or just wait to see if the US comes out with any deals

You will get better answers if you ask on the UK planning board because the UK and US FD offers are different.

The QS free dining offer for CSR is a UK offer because here in the US, CSR gets the regular dining plan during past FD offers. US Free Dining offers usually require a minimum 2 day ticket purchase. Also the 7/14/21 Day Ultimate tickets are not available in the US so they would not be applicable to any US FD offer.

US special offers don't come out as far in advance as in the UK. Regular package rates for 2013 will come out sometime this summer, but special US offers for next Feb probably won't be announced until late fall or early winter.

UK visitors have said they could book US offers, but have to do it through the US Disney website or by calling Disney in the US.
