UK Disney Stores

Hi all,

I'll be in the UK in a couple of weeks and wanted to see about getting some UK Disney Store pins. We'll be one night near Gatwick (there's not a Disney Store out there anywhere, is there?) then 2 nights in Edinburgh and then back to London for 3 nights. We'll be staying near the Goodge Street underground station.

Can anyone recommend a Disney Store that wouldn't be too difficult to get to or too far from the tube?

There is a Disney Store on Regent Street a few minutes walk from the Oxford Circus tube station

Hi there are 2 Disney Stores in Edinburgh one on Princes Street and one on the west side between the town centre and the airport at The Gyle shopping Centre ( a small mall ). I dont know about the one on Princes St but the Gyle only had Snow White mood pin and One of Piglet surrounded by opaque glass when I was there yesterday.
During the summer they had more but they havent sold well so a CM told me they wouldnt be getting any more. They are £2.99.

If you're travelling by car from Gatwick to London there is a Disney store in Crawley (about 5 miles from Gatwick)

Tony - out of luck for Crawley... we'll be taking the Gatwick Express into London. Unless you think I could get them to stop the train for me? heh...naah.. probably not. Was worth a shot though

That's so nice! We arrive in the UK on the 24th and will be splitting the time between Edinburgh and London. I'll be traveling with my younger sister and she doesn't do the whole "Disney thing," so I'll have to check with her about setting something up for that. She's always up for a pint in the pub though!

Also, don't know if I'd have anything anyone would want to trade... I'm just starting out in this and only have rack pins right now. Of course, they are US rack pins, so they might be a bit different from what you'd get over there

I'll definitely let you know about meeting up though.. I think that'd be really nice! I'll be talking to her over the weekend - she lives in Hawaii, so the time difference gets in the way of talking to her right away

Hi Julie,

Dont worry about not having pins to trade, your rack pins are likely to be most welcome, unlike US DS the UK does not carry that many pins.

We had the mood pins released in May of this year, which quickly left the shelves, and then nothing untill the release of four of the six lilo & stitch (the same as was released in US DS).
And then last week the release of 16 pins (UK exclusives at last)
That is all that is around at the mo, we have had 52 pins and one lanyard released since pin trading started.

But i am more than happy to meet you and just chat about trading and pins

I'm glad to hear the one in Edinburgh on Princes Street is still there. I shopped there a number of years ago, when I was in Edinburgh, because it was close to the hotel, where I was staying
at the time. Can you say "Big!" Two levels. Much larger then most of the Disney Stores I have seen here in the states. With alot of items, I haven't seen here either. Went there looking for an umbrella, which I found. Though, I don't use the umbrella much anymore, because I'm always afraid I'm going to lose it. Enjoy!

Unfortunately the Princes St DS is only one floor now but they have the NEW PINS yippeee.

Well, I'm back in the States and my trip was full of fun.

I made it to the Disney Store in Edinburgh as well as two of them in London (Covent Garden and Oxford Street). I managed to get some nice UK pins for my collection and some traders too.

I also got to meet Toni in London! We had a nice dinner and traded a few pins as well. Thanks again for meeting with me, Toni - it was nice of you to take the time
