Hi,

Myself and my fiancée are looking for very cheap accommodation in january. We would like to be near all the theme parks as we are not sure if we will be renting a car or not. I've read on the boards about priceline.com, but as I'm from the UK I'm not sure if I can book it or not?? I'm looking to go for two weeks and just want a safe, clean, cheap place. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Adam

I have so far found a hotel for $600 for the two weeks. So if you know of a place that is cheaper than $300 per week let me know :)

What about staying on site at the All star resort. If you watch the board here, sometimes a code comes out and the price goes down.

So far we have been lucky and have never paid more than 60 something a night.

Then you are on site and can stay late in the parks and get in an hour early.
Have the things you buy sent back to your room. I dont think you have to pay for parking either. They also have buses to take you to and from the park.

I think they are offering transportation for free to and from the airport still too.

If you want you can rent a car for fewer days than your whole stay.

Staying on site really makes a difference to us. Its just worth it!

Hope you have a great time wherever you choose to stay!

I would possibly look into hotelkingdom.com . Many DISER'S have used them and they seem to have some incredible deals.

hi
floridavillas andhotels.co.uk have some clean and non too expensive hotes.,as do octopus travel, have stayed at quality inn main gate west. basic but clean with coffee maker and safe, housekeeping top up every day. also complimentary breakfast cereal juice tea coffee pastruies and muffin/donuts. there is free shuttle busses to all parks. in fact we thought it was such good value we are going for three weeks i january!! :cool1: :cheer2: :bounce:

www.hotelkingdom.com

www.hotelmartusa.com

www.expedia.com

try the first two before expedia - most of the time they beat it prices.

but sometimes it does have nicer hotels - Disney and the Marriott that the other two don't.

if you want a condo

www.skyauction.com

www.condodirect.com

the first is an auction so you place a bid. Only bid on week stay in at least a 1-bedroom. don't bid on the daily stays (these are generally hotels)

the second is you pay their prices.

Try www.DoOrlando.com. I've booked weekly rentals for cheap at nice places in the Orlando area. Silver Lake was really nice. They gave a $100 off for booking 2 consecutive weeks. :goodvibes

I reconsiderng my own advice. Since we have been to Disney serveral times, Im thinking of staying off site. I have found some great deals on 2 bdrm suites! Thanks for the great hotel sites!

We will have a lot more room and a kitchen!
Something to think about!

Has anyone ever stayed at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas?

lauraann,
of the web sites you tried, where did you find the best prices for 2 bedroom condos?
Thanks
Suzy

I havent had a chance to look at them all yet. I checked out hotelkingdom.
The Cypress Pointe Grand Villas looked nice to me. 2bdrm 93. a night?
Still looking. Please let me know if you find something nicer around the same price or better. Ill do the same! TIA

I too am now looking at Cypress Pointe. As there are two of us I'm looking at either a one bedroom or studio. hotelkingdom gives a good price, but people keep on going on about skyauction. I cant find anything as of yet for the dates I want though.

adzcool: If you book just the lockout at Cypress Pointe, I would book the one bedroom at Grandvillas. We stayed in the studio for 3 days in July and it was adequate, but no table or chairs -- just the bed! After 5 days in DVC studios, I would have been happier in the one bedroom. And I do love the 2 bedroom with the full kitchen in Phase I. You can't beat the DVD player and surround sound.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn near the Crossroads Shopping Center last Wednesday and absolutely loved it. I booked online and got an excellent rate. We paid less than $50 per night including taxes. This was no ordinary Comfort Inn. Everyone at the hotel is great and they even gave us a goodie bag with snacks, Advil, and Pepto Bismal tablets. They also have free transportation to the parks and they are only three miles from Disney. Also, they are near the Crossroads shopping center and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from the resort. The rooms are good sized and they are very clean. The only thing that I would recommend is getting an odd numbered room because the even numbered ones face the highway and you can hear the noise in the hotel room. Also, they give a free continental breakfast. It is a great hotel and I would recommend it! Plus, it is cheap!

If you book online, go to www.choicehotels.com. It is the Comfort Inn on Palms Parkway in Lake Buena Vista. When booking online, select "special internet rate" on the drop down box and for two double beds in a non-smoking room, it is $44.10 before taxes. After taxes, it is a little over $49. It is a really great deal!
