uk brides licenece help

HI there, I was just wondering for all you experts what id i need to take to the couthouse to get a marriage licence as we are now 4 weeks away and i'm starting to panic

But also soooo excited

we just took our passports and i think that was it, all in all was in there 10 mins max. we went to osceola courthouse

Do they post the certificate to the UK? Is it possible to collect it before you leave Florida?

Is there anything else you need to do at home before you leave (i.e. notify your intention to marry?)

How about when you return? Apart from changing your name with companies is there anything else you need to do? I heard somewhere that I should have it notarised by a solicitor.

we took ours back the next day and it was stamped and made offical and we then got copies but they can send it to you

We didnt let anyone know apart from the church as we had the wedding blessed when we returned for all those that couldnt make disney

I have just used the certificate we got in florida to change my name on things and had no problem, just remember to change it with the national insurance office as i forgot that one

We havent been to a solicitor and have had no problems and are 2 months out from our 1 year anniversary

And is the court house far away? would a taxi cost lots or woth hiring a car?

i actually think we did take our birth certificates now you said it! i took everything i thought we would need

We hired a car so not sure how much taxi would be, it was around 20 mins drive each way
