Uk Brides how easy was booking wedding?

I phoned virgin but they didnt seem to know what they were doing, could'nt answer my questions without putting me on hold for ages and then said they would ring back and they never did, :headache: We went direct with disney and it was the best thing we ever did, i finish work at 1pm this is great because they are just starting work over there, and i always get a answer to a question usually the same day.(but i do most of the organising by e-mail) :surfweb:

I called Disney and they took my details and get a co-ordinator to call me within 3-4 business days. I feel that at least I have a chance now, as I've lost all faith in Virgin weddings dept.
Thanks to everyone who offered me advice.:flower3:

By any chance did you take any photos when you went out there for your planning session?? It would just be nice to see the locations without ceremonies already taking place in them.

Here are some pics i took of the w/p before our ceremony back in October, hope this works, i'm not the most technically gifted bloke!! :rotfl:

ok, i crashed and burned, but once i suss out how to do it i will post them up!

We have booked direct with Disney for the wedding, direct booked the room on the disney wedding website they made for us, and then flights through Virgin.

It has always been so easy talking to Disney Weddings people. We have had 90% of contact by email - always answered promptly - and they have always offered to call when we did need to talk (although the call cost never worried us so we never took them up on it)

I wouldn't hesitate to book direct with Disney. A lot of the questions we had were quite complicated and it has been important to me to get the answers straight from Disney with no-one "interpreting" them for me!

I really would go direct. And have fun - planning a WDW wedding is great!

I phoned Disney weddings last night at 7:15pm (UK time) and they took my details and said a co-ordinator would call me in 3-4 business days. Today, at 1:15pm (UK time) a lady called Doreen called me back, said she would pencil me in, and gave me her direct number to call and confirm at 8 months out. So far, so good!

I'm so pleased they got back to you, Just make sure you call them 8 months out at 8am their time as soon as they open that way you will hopefully get your date

It's in my diary! I know we'll have jumped forward an hour by April - do they also jump an hour in the US?

Actually, their clocks go forward at the beginning of April, just like ours. We have been on holiday in Florida several times at Easter and the clocks went forward when we were there or just before we arrived. It wasn't on the same day as the UK but they definitely do go forward! I'd check this out to make sure you don't miss out!

thats good to know I always thought we were the only ones to do it

Hi Guys

I've booked my holiday & wedding through Virgin and have to say that I am very happy with the response & service I have received from them so far. I got the date & time I wanted, they have arranged all the extra's which got confirmed the following day by phone call or email. Any queries got answered straight away or the following day if they had to contact their agent in Disney. They have done everything I wanted them too and honestly cannot fault them. So sorry but no negative comments about Virgin from this lady, just a big:thumbsup2

Actually the time change occurs early this year in the US. It's now changing in March

"On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November"

thanks! I'll make a note in my diary now, before I forget.
