First time to WDW!! 5/31- 6/5 me, my two sons, and my mom...arrrrrrh! and now we're addicted!
Stayed at POR - very nice! Had a few troubles in our room requests but were able to get em worked out. All I can figure is they didn't think we would notice being in the boondocks even tho we specifically requested close to foodcourts/ bus stops because of my mom's age
My DS's weren't entirely excited about meeting characters... they're at that age I guess (9&11). But they quickly caught the bug the first day at Epcot. We arrived just as the gates were opening so the characters were all about. They were able to get half-dozen signatures before the lines got too long and it was time for them to leave. All this excitement from 2 guys that didn't want me to bring an autograph book in the first place!
MK was much-too-much too busy for us during Spectro & Wishes. All those strollers!! Definitely not the way to "meet" MK. We were able to stake out a good spot for Spectro, but gave it up for Wishes and moved to the Plaza Pavillion. We went back twice, once for EE and again to catch rides we missed first time but still missed alot and never got to ride Splash Mtn.
MGM was everyone's fav, even though it isn't Universal! Had an issue with our PS's at H&V, and eventually got rained out of Fantasmic.
AK was HOT & HUMID but that was mainly attributed to overnight rains. Loads of people there and easy to get turned around, but the Safari was fun!
Didn't make it to any waterparks or DTD.. our schedule wasn't jiving with mother nature! We still had a nice balance of thrill rides/slow rides/shows/attractions to please 3 generations, and hook 2 stubborn guys on Disney!
