Uhoh No more FD @ Mods??

Hi all. We are in planning process of our first family trip for October. The plan was to stay at POR and adjust our dates for FD. Today I received a pin code (CDN?? And for June..) BUT I noticed that moderates are now receiving Quick Service and only Deluxe are to receive free regular plan. I really really hope this isn't the new fd promo plan!!! This will be a major downer for us.

The PIN they did for free dining during the same period last year was they same way. I think public offers are still DDP for mods.

sorry, just saw a similar post to this one. Glad to read that this has happened in previous years and isn't indicating a less likely chance of free fall dining.

You can always upgrade to the DDP and pay the difference, it isn't that much more
I have found it is a toss up between Free Dining and Room Discount when staying at a Moderate. Be sure to crunch the Numbers, they often come out at about the same savings. Depends of course how many in your travel party and ages of the kids too

There have been a number of pin codes in the past that have offered quick service dining to the value resort, moderate resorts and even the deluxe resorts. Email pin codes are random, name specific and non-transerable and don't, typically, have a correlation to general public discounts. Of couse, Disney can change their general public offers at any time, but in the past those email pin codes for quick service at all level of resorts did not affect the general public offers.

Agree that the upgrade isn't all that much but we have two year old twins, so that 'extra' food was really going to help. And we were debating some other upgrades too which would be then unattainable. Although I kept saying 'hoping for free ddp', and I know it's not a guarantee, really I'm sort of counting on it! Not right, but true!
