he's okay.
the details are fuzzy, apparently some guy side swiped him at an intersection. now the car is totalled. and the guy is denying it's his fault.
if they guy's insurance company doesn't find him at fault, we are soo screwed.

He's definitely at fault. I mean he sideswiped a car, in no way is that anyone elses fault.
He'd only be not at fault unless his brakes failed and he had no other way to stop, which I'm really doubting was the case.

My mother was in a crash a few years ago, and she ended up in the ditch. Things were fine, but the guy who made her go in the ditch wasn't being cooperative and gave her a false insurance company or something, and the truck was based in Quebec so they were being completey uncooperative and didn't want to pay for the damage.
Grrr.

Two weeks ago (in the very same week) my dad got sideswiped and rear ended. 2 DAYS APART. Also, the month before their was a storm and a branch fell on the hood. It really sucked, but the insurance company took care of us & now it's shiny and good.

my brother just got into a car accident last night.
him and his friends who where in are ok...but not the car. :/
their car flipped over,
my brother has a WICKED bump though.
its about the size of a baseball on his leg...

Everyone's okay. It's not as bad as we thought - my dad tends to panic and couldn't get his story right.
Apparently, because of the damage, my dad was in the left lane and the guy was on the right. They guy hit my dads car on the right. The tire is gone, the mirror is gone, and the door is all smashed in. The door and back end of the car have scratches and dust all over.

The other guy is denying everything. He wouldn't answer police. I'm PRAYING and HOPING TO GOD our insurance company can help us. Our family can not function with only 1 car.

i'm sure the insurance company will fault him. especially if yoru dad had hte light or your dad was stopped. if you hit a stopped car, no matter what, it is YOUR fault.

yeah he's alright. a little shaken up, some bruises and minor cuts, but he's okay. scarred mentally, but not physically.

i'm terrified of the insurance. you know insurance companies - they'll do everything they can to not pay.

Here's an update.

Turns out my dad's got a fractured elbow and a nasty contusion. The guy he got into an accident with - hasn't even called his insurance company! The insurance adjuster came out to look at the car, and he said it was obvious it wasn't my dad's fault. This guy is either 1) pretending this didn't happen or 2) going to fight this till the end and deny, deny, deny. This guys insurance is AIG.
