Not buying either story. 1) A TA having knowledge of negotiations between DCL and Bahamian officials? That's on par with info coming from Disney’s bus drivers. 2) What are the Bahamas going to do? Amend their order to say every private island is included except CC?A travel agent on my Facebook group indicated that Disney was in talks with the Bahamian Ministry all weekend trying to negotiate something. I sincerely doubt this story, and just don't understand why Disney feels their solution must be different than the other cruise lines. It just doesn't make any sense.
Another person said they called and were told "We have not yet decided if we are going to the Bahamas". Again, not sure I believe this story either...
I agree. At this point, it's either require vaccines, or cancel the cruise. I just don't see any other viable option. Not buying either story. 1) A TA having knowledge of negotiations between DCL and Bahamian officials? As for the CM saying they haven't decided if they are going to the Bahamas yet? Sounds to ne like a CM tired of saying they didn't know anything and was grasping at straws to explain why DCL hadn't comminicated anything yet. Where are they going to go? There aren't really any options other than Mexico and we've covered why that's not a viable solution.
Regardless, I just hope we hear tomorrow.

I'm not confident Disney is making money on a boat running at 25% capacity. If they are, congrats to them.
There have been stories / rumors recently regarding the Pfizer vaccine obtaining formal approval on Monday, August, 23, 2021. I wonder if DCL is waiting for this before they issue a statement.
So, since I lost my first bet on a Friday announcement (what was I thinking?!?!) anyone thinking will know something before noon today? Or later in the week?
FDA is "supposed" to fully authorized the Pfizer vaccine today - that might be what they are waiting for?So, since I lost my first bet on a Friday announcement (what was I thinking?!?!) anyone thinking will know something before noon today? Or later in the week?
Doubt it because it does not actually matter for either FL law or Bahamian rules.FDA is "supposed" to fully authorized the Pfizer vaccine today - that might be what they are waiting for?
Well, gee - let's see: Maybe they cancel all the September cruises, maybe they make all 7-night cruises 4 nights through the end of the year, maybe they change ports around...again. Lots of changes could significantly impact a vacation and some of us are sailing in the next 30 days. Why all the stress, if you're vaccinated?
