Uh, is everyone "old" here?

I'm turning 40 on May 2nd, but I'm going to be celebrating my birthday at Disney World, so I am actually looking forward to it!

you know, like a year ago someone thought I was 25 - and I STILL can't figure out what their movtives were....
and I can never tell someone's age by looking at them. The worst, I mean the absolute worst, is guessing someone's age and being way off in the wrong direction, making them too old.

To me there are only two ages, you are either 'my age' or 'you annoy me'.

'my age' is someone I get along with.
and
"you annoy me" can be older or younger but the main thing is YOU 'annoy me'!

I'm really old compared to most of you, I guess (56), I've had gray hair since age 16 (and it's now a very cool streaky white & dark), I've been married longer than a lot of you have been able to talk (hell, I have clothes older than a lot of you) but in my head I'm 27. Or maybe 33. And those ages sound young to me. Damn, I am old.

Anyway, I divide the world up into three ages -- kids, old people, and people my age.

A friend of mine used to say she judged all dates in "Scooby-Doo Years." There were a few Scooby-Doo generations.

1) The generation who watched the origional Scooby Doo.
2) The generation who watched The New Scooby Doo.
3) The generation who watched Scooby Doo re-runs.
4) The generation who watched The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo
5) The generation who watched "a pup named scooby doo."

If you were younger than that she refused to even talk to you

there is a pup????? I thought that was scrappy doo...I watched the original Scooby Doo after my parents broke down and bought an idiot box. I grew up without one until almost 10.

The only show we were allowed to stay up and see was the wonderful world of disney - I remember Walt talking about Epcot, and his plans for it - I kinda feel like that park is mine...I grew up with it!
