Ugh! Why am I second guessing my choice?

*Sigh* Every since I submitted my offer and it was accepted, I have been wondering if I chose the right contract at the right resort. First of all, the Hubs is not a "friend of the mouse" so I could only buy a small contract for a studio for a 3 - 4 days trip. I'll go during the cheapest times of the year, Sun - Thurs. So, when I found a 60 point contract at the Poly, I jumped on it. I had an $11,000 budget, wanted a 40+ year dead and a place with a lot of studios. I also needed to keep my yearly dues rate low because this is just for me. I stayed at Sarasota Springs and although the rooms were nice, I really wanted a monorail resort.

So...does anyone else still stalk the resale sites and wonder if they signed the right contract? My "excuse" is that if it doesn't go through ROFR, I can jump on another one quickly. Is this normal? Is anyone ever satisfied?

I personally think you can never go wrong with a monorail resort (we own VGF and CCV, as well RIV). If I could convince DH that we needed more I'd jump at a small Poly contract! We own way more points than many, but I'm still always stalking. My problem is we only have so much time to use all the points we own! We own 600 points at CCV, so we can book 2 br units for the kids/grandkids. (Studios at CCV are very tough to book!) But I'd rather stay at the Poly or VGF if it is just DH and myself!

If you enjoy what the Poly offers, and are happy with the price you paid, don't second guess yourself. Keep watching for a backup and keep your fingers crossed that you pass ROFR!

Super normal! If you are looking for a deal there is no way to be satisfied, if they accept the offer maybe you could have gone lower LOL!

it’s done, hopefully passes then you start planning! Enjoy.

Thank you! I feel much better. I appreciate your reply! VGF and BLT were my other two choices. I love the Beach Club, but not the short deed so much.

Thank you!! I will likely hear back this week (due to the trends) so once I know, it will be a done deal! I doubt they will take my $167 60 point contract, but who knows!!

Poly sounds perfect for you! Don't sweat it. If it doesn't go through, you can start again. Honestly, if you are open to a few resorts it just makes it easier!

I've been looking for a MK resort for 3 years on and off. I think my heart just wants more BWV points instead, but I don't want to put more into a 2042 when I can survive with what I've got. Was looking forward to seeing what Reflections would have to offer and then it got scrapped, so I'm pissed. lol

I think picking a MK area resort is really hard for a lot of people if not completely in love with one over another. VGF is nice and now walkable but super expensive, Poly is only studios (hard for some if unsure how future family trips may look and will get pricey if you suddenly need 3 studios!) and BLT is most versatile, affordable, walkable, and on the monorail but many don't find the theme the most appealing. CCV is beautiful and reasonable price but is not walkable or on the monorail and hard for booking studios. For me, I'm giving up something at any 1 of them. So, then I always revert back to "just buy SSR and roll the dice". But instead, I do nothing. Ha ha!

I think $167 is an Ok price for a PVB small contract, good chance it will be worth a lot more in 10 years time.
Equivalent VGF is like $190. You’ve done well.

Thank you so much! The VGF was soooo tempting, but my fear was I'd have trouble getting a studio. Plus, I wanted over 50 points. I appreciate your feedback. I feel so much better.

For just you this is going to be so perfect and hello - the food options and atmosphere is so awesome at Poly - and just a manageable walk to GF for even more food options. I’d not give it a second thought and just (ROFR willing) start getting excited about many magical trips! Trader Sam’s? Dole Whip? Ohana? Kona Cafe? Yaaaaaaaass!
