Ugh, so annoyed

In May, my mom and I were planning to have a girl's trip to WDW. We were going to take my 2 SILs and their daughters, 11, 10. Well my ex SIL told my brother that she wants 3 extra weeks of visitation if she allows my niece to go because the week we plan is one of her weeks. My brother does not want to do that and I don't blame him. He and his wife have made allowances for ex SIL's visitation changes many times over the years.

Now, he's going to check into early March when the kids are off for a week.
They split vacations so hopefully she won't be able to throw a monkey wrench into the plans. We're not going to say anything because poor little heart was so upset about not being able to go in May. The plan is my brother will pick up the kids-my nephew will come too as this won't be just a girl's trip anymore- and bring them to the airport where my mom and I will be waiting for them.

My annoyance comes in because the ex is so selfish and will hurt her daughter in order to get at my brother.

I'm sure you brother already looked into it, but what's the vacation verdict in their custody agreement? If there is nothing that states he can't take his vacation time on her week, then I wouldn't change plans. Just because she wants 3 extra weeks doesn't mean she's entitled to it.

I know with my crazy EX family member, they have a clause that says they need to take their vacation weeks on the weeks where they already have the kids 4 days in a row so the other parent loses less time.

People like that are never easy to deal with. Ours likes to make her kids cry with details of what they'll be missing while they're with their dad. She hopes their dad feels bad and lets them go with her for whatever event it is, regardless if he's go plans. She's a treat.

They split vacations and she gets them for 2 weeks starting the last week in May. Unfortunately, I did not know this when I booked. When I found out, I wasn't worried because how could a parent not allow their child to go to WDW. I should have known better. My brother was willing to give her an extra week but then she demanded 3. If he had said yes to 3 she would have demanded 5. You cannot win by trying to reason with some people, so then you have to go around them. I'm so not into this kind of crud.
The downside is that my 2 nieces won't be able to go together. The upside is I'll have an extra trip but it really doesn't feel like an upside,KWIM?
