UGH! School Vent.

My Child Development teacher drives me insane. I've been having problems with her since Day One, so has my homebound instructor and everyone I know who's had her.

She's giving me a FAIL on my report card because I didn't take the midterm exam. I can understand this if it was for someone else, but not me. My 504 plan SPECIFICALLY states that all tests issued while I am not present must be sent to my homebound instructor. Then I can take them at home, she photocopies them (state wants them to do this), and then she can hand it in. We don't want to be told "Oh, I won't give her credit because she didn't do it" if we don't have proof I completed the assignment. Anyway, she has verified it, I have verified it, my homebound instructor and my principal have verified it.
The midterm was handed out while I was absent, the day before the term ended. Why she would do that, IDK. My 504 allowed me to extend my term to Friday the 7th, and EVERYONE said it was okay.
Now she refuses to give me the test. She's just giving me a fail on the report card.

I hope you can get this worked out and with your mom, home teacher and the principle and the State behind you I think you should be able to get the exam to take it.

Speaking of teachers, my one science teacher is going to fail me based off of my previous teachers grades, and my previous teacher hated me.

Gah, I'm sorry.
That's pretty ironic, though.
Because my child development teacher is also a TERRIBLE teacher.

She never gives assignments to us all at once. She waits while half of us are teaching the preschoolers, and then we never get them, and then get no credit when we don't turn in the assignments we'd never been given.
And she never explains any of the lessons.
She actually does nothing. We do book work or plan lessons, unsupervised.

Maybe all child development teachers just blow.

just make some noise about it. you get catered to. i know i do, with my iep.

What others have said. She legally isnt allowed to do this. Make some noise and you will get to take the test.
