A few months ago, I was treated for a sinus infection. Fever, pressure, pain and bad tasting post nasal drip. I took The antibiotics and all was well. Then a couple of weeks later, same symptoms, minus the fever. and this time, they come and go. I'm taking claritin for allergy symptoms and I have an appointment for later this week. Is it possible to have a chronic sinus infection? I'm not overly sick, but dang, these symptoms. It's getting old.

Yes it is possible. Go see your doctor. DO you use a nasal rinse or neti pot? They really help.

I went the doctor a couple years ago complaining of symptoms I suspected were from a sinus infection. He diagnosed me with a chronic nerve condition and spent a couple months treating me for it. I finally begged to see a neurologist who did an MRI and diagnosed me with ... you guessed it ... a sinus infection. (I had no fever at any time).

By that time it was bilateral and very involved, and I had been in excruciating pain for 6 months. It took 3 weeks of antibiotics and steriods, months of nasal rinsing and trips to an ENT to clear it up, and I will have lifelong sinus problems as a result.

Hope you are feeling better.

There's something going on here in SA area - my kids have been having similar symptoms (and I've just been attributing it to allergies), and I've got the PND. Curious to find out what your doc suggests.

I'll let you know what he says. I'm sorry you all have these symptoms but it does reassure me that it may just be a SA thing.

My son has chronic sinus disease. 21 days of antibiotics, usually twice a year. Definitely check out a Neti Pot.

I am a chronic sinus infection girl. I get them about 2-3 times a year, right on cue. Actually, I have one right now. :(

Go to Target right now and buy yourself a NeilMed Sinus Rinse. You will feel SO much better.

Hope the DR can find a good solution! Feel better!
