Ok --- I am really going nuts here ... its 2 adults and 2 kids traveling 10-28 or 10-29 to 11-6 or 11-7

booked o/w on southwest MHT to MCO when my date came out 10-29 --- its not yet out for my return -- got a fully refundale ticket for 157.60 ONE WAY NON STOP--- better price for parking at MHT then Bos..

NOW AirTran is having their 24 hour sale and can get tickets for $155.40 ROUNDTRIP for 10-28 to 11-6 ( had to alter dates a bit for the best fare ) there is One Stop each leg - but its ok my kids are bigger -- NON Refundable fares -- will take bus to save on parking price ( parking = $16 perday or bus tickets = $37 each)

so can take my chances and hope southwest out of MHT comes down and they have pretty good priced trips on my dates ( 10-29 to 11-7 ) and drive from Home and Park ( drive = 1.5 hours and parking $8 perday --- o/w ticket = $157.60)

OR

Cancel o/w on southwest book AirTran $155.40 RT out of Boston take bus down$37 ( parking at bus = $2 per day )

OH MY GOSH --- Someone please help me !! even if SW does drop to 79 per ticket w/ taxes its 175.20 per person plus the parking at MHT for $8 per day

so we are looking at about a $10 difference but peace of mind that RT is booked even with date changes and stopovers ..

Thanks Michelle - Crazy head at the moment !!!

It really just seems to early to be booking flights for Oct/Nov timeframe. You could miss a huge airfare sale between now and then. I would just wait and look for a price drop.

For those of us in the Northeast a $59 sale is a GREAT deal.. that is why I am afraid of not booking it .. But thanks for the input

My dates are Oct. 23-Nov. 1.

As tempted as I am to go with AirTran, 3 things are keeping waiting for SWA to extend their schedules:
1 I have $60 from my last flight to apply toward the tickets
2 SW is direct
3 I'd rather do PVD vs. Logan

So I'm sticking it out and seeing what's available when the dates are released. Also I'm flexible when it comes to MCO or TPA.

Don't know if this helps any, but since you're already booked o/w on SW...

Wow, did I miss something? Who's giving a $59 sale? I didn't see the OP reference this.

I was able to get SWA @ $49 each way to MCO out of MHT nonstop. It was an incredible internet deal - so I scooped it up. I am not crazy about SWA not assigning seats but with that price I just couldn't turn it down.

Not that I can help you a whole lot. But I would also check out www.jetblue.com for there fares out of Boston. When I looked up your date it showed $175.20 round trip and taxes direct.

I would definately jump on the band wagon if you could be lucky enough to get the $49 each way with Southwest that others have been getting. But with Jetblue you can pick your seat when you make the reservation and the kids can watch a TV in the seat ahead of them. Just something to think about.

When we lived in Maine my mom often took the bus down to Boston and had a really comfortable trip.

Well I took the plunge .. so all of you waiting -- SW will have awesome fares soon cause that is my luck !!!

I booked at $150.90 RT 10-28 Bos-PHF-MCO 9am -1:56 pm and 11-6 MCO-BWI-BOS 11:05am - 5:05pm and we will take Concord Trailways from Portland to Logan

I am happy with the decision made -- good luck to all of those still waiting in the airline booking limbo! I have my fingers crossed you all get what you want for the price you want.. Michelle
