so my Cypress Pointe Resort ress's through hotel.kingdom went by the wayside. They are full <sigh>

why is it to much to ask? for a nice 2 bedroom with nice children's pool close to disney for under 600$ including tax? We aren't getting nearly back what I had thought we were going to get from our child tax credit and some is better than none, granted but it's caused me to rethink our plans. We have just over a month to go and I have go to find something. We still have our SOG ressies but it's almost 900$ for the 8 days no kitchen for meals and it's small, and the pool from what I heard isn't the greatest for small children (1,4, 7)

I just want to cry

Why don't you try the Holiday inn family suites? The kids would like the pool. Kids eat free. Everyone eats a free breakfast. I even think I remember reading somewhere that for the summer everyone eats free all the time. Plus its close to Disney.

the cheapest I've seen it is 100$ a night though :(

or maybe it was 130$

Why don't you try the mousesavers.com rate on the Hotel Royal Plaza. No kitchen but a nice hotel at a cheaper rate.

we're traveling with my 18 yo neice and was hoping for a 2 bedroom something for more privacy. That was the main reason I switched from the SOG/Contemporary to a 2 bedroom something that and to save money

Hi,

If you can stay at SOG, then you must be eligible for military rates. Since you were looking at Cypress Pointe, staying onsite is obviously not a key factor for you. How about checking out this site Government and Armed Forces Travel Cooperative and seeing if you can find availability for your dates?

I did and I think blue tree is theonly one left. wyhndem and cypress pointe sold out last week :(

what I'd prefer is teh 27th through the 3rd of sept but I'm flexcible as long as we don' check in on the 30th of August due to CRT. I have found more on skyauction and ebay. just frustrating having to wait and wade through all of it and still not know for sure if what you end up with is going to be nice not just cheap LOL

good grief that's a lot of typo's guess that says how tired I am. I'm giving up for tonight and going to bed......

www.hotelmartusa.com has a 3br. at cypress point for $516 taxes included. Their studio and 2brs look to be sold out but you might want to check them out.

They also have a 3br. condo at Emerald Island Resort, which i have heard is an excellent place to stay for $474 plus taxes.

I just bid at skyauction for Vistana Villages. closes tomorrow around noon. Keep your fingers crossed for me...

momto4 I put in the 27th through the 3rd of sept and the 3 bedroom is sold out but one day and 2 bedrooms aren't even on the list.

emrald isle's is in the 700$ range too :(

thanks though

Diane thank you and PMed you back :)

I'm staying at a nice 3/3 private home in november, it is extremely reasonable with a private heated pool and taxes uncluded. if interested, private message me for details.... good luck!

There are a couple of rental weeks available on the TUG Classifieds for Aug 29th, including a 3BR at Cypress Pointe for $500. That's a reasonable price for 7 nights and no taxes! If you find something else for more, you could make an offer, especially at this late date. That's not a very busy time, since the whole southeast has begun their school year. HTH.

Since you aren't adamant about staying on site, you could check out the Armed Forces Vacation Club www.afvc.com. They only rent by the week, but you could get a condo for only $234 a week.

Not sure of the rates for your dates, but you could try TropicalPalmsFunResort.com for a 2 bedroom cottage. AWESOME place!!

Made ressies through Access Travel USA trhough a PM that someone sent me (thanks again!)

for 76$ a night inlcuding tax through cypress pointe but it doesn't say grandvilla's or resort I'm sure it's for resort but I'll be happy with either. Just glad to be done
