Ugh: Have To Change Doctors

So my gyno office called and said my gyno will no longer be performing surgeries. And I’m scheduled to have a hysterectomy in January.
So had to get them to send a referral to their sister office( under the same company) because they needed one .
So just waiting for a call from them as it’s in the process of being processed lol.
Unfortunately it will mean my surgery will be pushed back but it may be at a hospital closer. Ugh

Ugh that sucks!
I feel like something must have happened to the doctor though.
Generally a doctor wouldn't schedule surgeries and then stop doing surgeries before they have completed also scheduled ones.

I would also think that the sister office would work with you to get it done in a timely manor.
Its not like its your fault so they should be willing to move some things around so you're not pushed out too far.

FYI I had my hysterectomy about 18 months ago and omg best decision ever.

Yes I feel something happened to the surgeon and they have been practicing for decades.
I have 2 appointments for new doctor on Halloween lol ( I’ve read reviews so feel somewhat confident. Then hopefully get this party started and over with . I am so ready to get this done. Glad your procedure went well .

Just want to bump up : my appointments are tomorrow and I cannot wait. Things have become worse and I’m just so ready for stuff to come out and see if I need to worry about what may be found from it

OP here. So the doctor had to reschedule the appointment for yesterday. I’m all over the place with emotion.
I thought it assumed this was a pretty easy thing info and do ultrasound to see if things had worsened and a consult to get surgery.
He was nice as his staff. Do internal and external ultrasounds. Went over what let me to be there. Then he says he isn’t comfortable to do the operation just yet he wants to try and see if can get to my uterus ( which the other gyno couldn’t) and see to get a biopsy then see if it is cancer.
So he is like let’s try to do it again to get biopsy abd he did say he also may not be able to get to my uterus as well as refer me to a oncology gyno and if the OG can get me in before that I could just cancel his appointment. He does agree the surgery needs to be done but he isn’t comfortable with not getting a sample first.
I said thanks but just get me a referral because I’ve had given the last one 2 opportunities to get what is needed but my uterus is not having it. I want it all out ASAP.
So now I wait for the OG office to call.not to mention I’m tired of having different levels of pain in that area and spotting to full on jelly like clumps and my uterus shedding liken Th e elevator scene from the Shining. And I’m scared that if it is C it has time to have spread

I actually don’t celebrate today but stuff always happens with on the day of a holiday or right before so it’s my norm lol.
My original appointment was in Halloween but he had to cancel it lol.

I’m just going to keep myself busy until a call. But on the bright side ii have a job that has great PTO and a few sick days and they pay for short term disability.
