As some of you know, I have an ongoing saga about my job.
Today, I actually got a wonderful assignment. If you remember, I was upset because I was just sitting around doing stupid stuff, and not working with the special education students (as I am trained to do)
Well, there 's this sweetie student today, with multiple disabilities. He usually has a one on one assistant, and she wasn't there today. He was wandering around ALONE! (totally illegal, and against his IEP!), so I took it upon myself to help him. I checked in with a special ed teacher, and she said "Fine, please do! He needs the help!"
So I spend three hours with the wonderfully sweet student. He was so kind, wonderful and very very cute. (doenst happen much in middle school).
Later on one of the aides was upset because she had to sort the schools mail, and didn't understand how to do it. The principal was upset as well! Seriously, whats so hard about mail!
The principal was looking for me, and saw me with the student and said "youre with this student.. fine!"
Why would anyone have an atitude that I needed to do something that needed to be done?
I still don't understand whats so hard about the mail! This assistant had to have a helper, and the TWO of them couldn't figure it out.
Whats more important? A child with multiple handicaps that needs so much assistance ? Or stupid mail?
AAARRGH!!!!!
