Hey there guys,

I am planning a Christmas trip Dec 22-29. I recently bought the Sparkle Ugg boots (the ones featured in Oprah's favorites) and I would love to wear them during our upcoming trip.

I am planning on maybe wearing them on our first day when we plan on just visiting different resorts to look at decorations or on days when we are not walking a lot. Have any of you wore Uggs to the parks? Was it uncomfortable at all?

Hey there from an MSU Spartan. I come in peace lol :thumbsup2

I have never worn Uggs in Disney (we've never taken a winter trip), but as you might know our campus is ha-uge. I walk around all fall & winter every day in one of my multiple pairs of Uggs for miles treking back and forth to class. Also, I wore them around touring DC and had absolutely no problems. If you already have them broken in I would say you're a-okay. You know if you prefer them with or without socks (yeah I know they're meant to be worn without but I have a pair that zip up and are much more comfy with a pair of socks). Plus, I just can't imagine having a more comfortable/warm pair of shoes. Love my Uggs!

That's so funny.. I'm a U of M student.. go blue :thumbsup2

And I actually also have these exact boots (I love them and get soo many compliments!) I would say go for it. Are you comfortable walking to class in uggs? I def am, and it is no different walking around disney, especially because it gets pretty cold there in winter.

I have seen them in November before. I personally don't think I could wear them for an all day tour. I would maybe, wear them for an 'after dinner return to a park.' Uggs are nice and warm and I hate being cold.

One thing about Uggs, they don't do well with water. There are lots of opportunities to get wet at WDW. If you have on Uggs, you'll have to avoid the water. That's part of why they would not typically be my first choice for park gear. More than just attractions, they would not be ideal for rainy Florida weather.

When considering footwear, consider the VERY most comfortable shoes you can find - and bring two. Usually my three top options are: snekaers, somthing for water ( like Crocs, or water proof sandals) and high quality sandals.

The endurance of your feet/walking ability is nearly always going to be one of the key limiting facotrs for how long you are able to stay in the parks. Shoes of limited endurance are going to limit your options on any given day, "I'd love to go back to MK tonight, but I can't walk that far in these shoes" Not something I want to say.

Uggs- at least mine - are also quite bulky. That can be a pain when traveling by air. I skipped them on several trips I've taken for that reason alone.I'd pretty much HAVE to wear them through the airport. Ugg! (But not all Uggs are boots)

Im not just saying this because I am an OSU Buckeye alumni (Lol) But I personally wouldn't wear Uggs just because of the Shearling inside. That gets really hot. Even if it is cold outside I still wouldn't. When you walk you will warm it and then you would get hot.

Also, I went for a very short walk around my neighbord with my tall Uggs on and I ended up getting shin splints because there is no arch support.

Uggs in WDW = hot sweaty feet and no arch support. Uggs are notorious for being bad for the feet when worn too much.

Oops, I didn't read the first post carefully enough and thought the visit was coming up soon. Pls ignore.

We went to Disney 2 Decembers in a row, and each trip I wore my Uggs probably all but 1-2 days. It was a must - I even wore socks with them because it was so darn cold!

wore mine this past Dec the whole trip (it was FREEZING) and they were great!! My feet did not hurt at all and it was cold enough so no sweating....

I have seen them in the parks, I would NEVER wear them..Absolutely no arch support and I already have flat feet and Plantar Fasciitis

You can definitely wear UGGs to the parks, I wore mine for 3 days of intense touring at Tokyo Disney and they kept my feet comfy. I had no problems with them!

If you wear UGGs at home, I don't see them being a problem in the parks.

As for if your feet will be warm/sweaty, I live in Australia and people wear Uggs here in hot and cold weather. They actually have UGG coolies here for beverages and it keeps the drinks pretty cold!

So I say if you wanna wear em, go for it!! :goodvibes

Last year I wore my Uggs all day long several days to SW and BG. It was cold and I loved having them. I did not have any issues with them hurting me but I am sure it depends on your feet and what you can handle. If you can shop all day long in Uggs, you should be fine.

The only time I went to WDW in December, it was in the high 60's and low 70's all week. I can't imagine wearing furry boots around in that kind of weather when I'd be walking 5 - 6 miles a day. :confused3

i wore mine in november every night. since november has drastic weather changes from day to night, we always go back and change before dinner. i would have frozen without them! i actually have seen a lot of them in both of our november trips! i want the sparkly ones sooooooo bad!!

I have several times, and my opinion varies. Now, I wear them TONS at home - almost all fall and winter, and into the spring. My boots are very comfy and broken in! However, they do tend to rub sometimes but I can never predict it. I was fine wearing them at night in Disney World, but when I wore them the whole day on an unexpected trip to Disneyland, I was in sheer agony! I did much less walking there than at WDW, too. I have to say though, I think it was the fact that DL was very hot for January, and normally at home & in WDW it's not hot enough to make them sweat (sorry to be gross haha) but at DL it was, and that's what caused the rubbing.

In WDW they were perfect, especially at night. In the day at Disney I was able to get away with flip-flops actually, in January, twice! It was really warm both January trips during the day. Also, I wear flip-flops constantly, even in the parks, and never had trouble there though I know many others have. (Trust me, I get an earful from my foot doctor, especially since I broke both feet in the past two years!) :rotfl:

I would say wear them down on the plane/car/train/etc, because they're so annoying to pack! Then at least you have them if you want them. No harm in that! Our nights were definitely chilly and I definitely appreciated having my babies with me! Just make sure to break them in a bit!

I have fake ones (didn't think I would like them so wanted to try the style first before investing in the real deal) and we went this past December when it was absolutely FREEZING for most of our trip and I wore them almost the whole time. Worked GREAT and no problems for me. I was so glad I had them during the night we saw the Processional because it was in the 20's and windy that night!

I have been to WDW several other times in the winter and I would say that most times you would be fine wearing the Uggs for the evenings, but during the day I would probably wear something else. This past December was exceptionally cold though and UGGS were fine all day long so you just never know.

I have worn my Uggs several times on a winter trip. The only thing that makes me nervous is if there is a chance of rain. They would not hold up well at all.

Last summer I got Ugg flip flops and they have completed 3 WDW trips.
