I decided to get a pair of Uggs with my Christmas money, so out I went today. I found a pair of ultimate short in Chestnut(my preferred color) but wasn't so sure I liked the look, as it has a different sole and the front of the boot is different than the classic. I bought a 9 in that style. I decided to go to a few different stores to see what else I could find. Then I found the classic tall in navy, I tried them on and the 9 felt fine length wise but my foot slid all around in the heel, so I tried on the 8's. My toe is against the front in the 8 but my foot doesn't slide around, the heel feels comfortable. In the end I exchanged the ultimate short 9's for the classic tall 8's. I'm wearing them now and wonder if I did the right thing. I wear a size 9-10, depending on the shoe(had to get 10's in the Skechers shape ups) The problem is that my feet are narrow and long. Do you think they will stretch in the front a bit? I just hate when my feet slide around in a shoe because then my toes hit the front of the shoe anyway! The navy is cute, never would have thought of that color but it caught my eye!(DH thinks I'm nuts) So opinions out there? Anyone else have narrow feet and wear Uggs? TIA! :goodvibes

Whenever I tried UGGs on at the store in my outlet they always told me to get them slightly snug. nothing uncomfortable but you want them to "fit". The inside "fluff" will pack down a bit with wear and the shoe will stretch out a bit to fit your foot. When I tried on the classic style I first tried on a 10 it was huge, then the 9 was ok but felt like it was sliding around a bit, and the 8 was snug but didn't hurt my foot at all. I went with the 8 and have loved them every bit since! I absolutely think you did the right thing! enjoy your shoes!

I have very narrow feet - I have to buy narrows in dress shoes or they won't stay on and can't wear hardly any slides..... often have to special order.

I wear a 7 or 7.5 in shoes.... I have the slides in a 6 and the cove boots in a size 7. Both fit well as they run narrow and have less fur so they don't tend to pack down - I've had them both for about a year.

The other boots tend to run to wide and my feet slide around in them which I don't like... I'd love to find a taller style that would work for my feet but so far no luck :headache:

You did the right thing. You're cost per wear will eventually be pennies. So budget wise you were smart.

I bought a pair of Steve Madden's in the classic Ugg height a few season ago. I'm still wearing them a couple of times a week. They've been resoled, but they go with half my closet. I have a pair of the short Uggs, I actually ended up with snow in them last week when we had the blizzard, they just didn't keep my feet protected enough.

Thanks for the info, I feel alittle better now! However I wore my Skechers shape ups tonight and now they have to go back, need to get a half size down(10 to a 9.5) no matter how tight I tied them my heel keep slipping around :confused3 I will tell you my back, abs and thighs ache so they must be doing something! As for the Uggs the blue color has really grown on me, I think I can wear them with all of my jeans and most of my sweaters! I will wear them around the house alittle more tomorrow and see how they feel!
