Uggghh! How do you wrap lots of clothes?

DD15 and DD11 are getting a majority of clothing for Xmas (they kinda need it). I can not see getting like 40 clothing boxes and wrapping each thing separately, and I also do not want to just fold the stuff into a big gift bag, as they will have everything opened & inspected in a matter of moments.... I think part of the excitement that morning is tearing stuff open, not pulling a lump of stuff out of a bag. Do you have any quick, creative, easy ideas to get this stuff wrapped?

You could always wrap a whole outift together in one box. Or just forego boxes altogether and just wrap the items while they are folded up.

Do you sew? My sis-in-law makes cute gift bags out of holiday material and you can re-use them every year. Just sew a simple bag shape & a place to put the string or ribbon around the top. That reminds me, I bought some material on clearance last year so that I could do this... add to my list.

You can take a garment and roll it up, then wrap tissue around it like a tootsie roll and tie each end with ribbon. Hope that makes sense!

I use strange boxes to wrap stuff in: empty, clean oatmeal cans, cereal boxes, shoe boxes, etc. Stange, but it confuses the kids and works great!

Just some advice from a former "professional" gift-wrapper...Wrapping the items in shirt boxes and other appropriate boxes will prevent you from having to iron them. I love to be creative, but usually limit the rolling of items to nightware and bulky sweaters. You will appreciate the neatly folded items in their boxes. It is worth the time. You can get larger boxes--robe/coat size--and wrap whole outfits or multiple items at a time.

But this is advice from someone who actually lines each box with tissue paper and hand ties her ribbons. Yes. I have a problem. I wish I could wrap your presents for you--I love to gift wrap!
