UGG boots for girls?

My DD6 had the EMU's and they were great! She wore them to school and church on cold non wet days. She liked them. My DD8 wants a pair of those this year, so we'll go with those. I would like for her to try on a pair though.

My kids wear actual snow boots on slushy, wet days.

I would never buy my 7 year old a pair though, I must say!

Me neither ~ I got my 1st pair this summer *super cheap from 6pm.com ~ kids size/style* My feet aren't getting any bigger ~ if I take care of them they'll last for years. DD did have a pair of Bear Paws *purchased from Amazon late last year for a OK price ~ they lasted the winter for her *and I'm quite sure they won't fit her this year.

My DD had a pair of Fuggs (Bear Paws) when she was 9. She wore them every single day from the moment she brought them until they fell apart in the spring. I think they were about $35.

I bought her real Uggs last year with the same result. Except the real Uggs cost 3 times the Fuggs did!

She is now on her 3rd pair of Uggs but only because Uggs stepped up and replaced the boots under warranty. I don't know if I will buy her the real thing next year. Hopefully, it will be out of fashion by then.

Both of my daughters wear them all fall, winter and most of spring. I also have a few pairs, I usually buy myself a pair each year and they last forever for me it seems like since I don't wear them everyday. My 3 year old has been wearing them since she has been born and loves them. My 10 year old has gotten a pair every year since she was about 6 and loves them also. They go with just about everything, last forever, and yes they are a bit more expensive but you do get what you pay for. My daughters birthday is also in November so she usually gets a new pair for then. Try 6pm they are so much cheaper, or fleece footwear also.

Well personally I wouldn't pay those prices for boots for my kids. But then again I live in CA where it does freeze but doesn't snow very much so that would probably be a factor for me. I did see that K-Mart has their style uggs on sale this week, kids sizes are $7.99-19.99. Of course they are K-Mart but since kids' feet grow so fast that might be the way to go.

And I would never pay that kind of money for boots for my children! DD12 got knock offs at Target for Xmas & while she REALLY wanted Uggs, she was perfectly happy w/ the knockoffs. They get dirty VERY easy--until feet stop growing, WHY????????
