Hi, can someone explain to me what is the difference between the

"MK One Day Touring Plan for Parents with Young Children"

and the

"MK Dumbo or Die in a Day Touring Plan for Parents with Young Children"?

also,

Which one is better for daredevil kids aged 10 and 5?

We want to do 1 park per day (not parkhop) and will probably allocate 2 days for the MK park but do not want to do the 2 day plan. We will just revisit our favourites on the 2nd day.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

martina

p.s. these plans are on pages 492 and 494 of the UG.

From what I remember (don't have it in front of me), the first plan includes a mix of rides/shows for both the adults and children. The second (Dumbo or Die) includes only things for the kiddies.

My guess without looking at it would be that the first one would please both you and your children more.

The Dumbo guide is for those people who want to do nothing but please their young children and do only the attractions they would enjoy.

The guide for parents with children is a guide that will try to include as much of the MK as possibly, but ommitting any attractions that could be scary for children (i.e. Alien Encounter, if it were still open)

I concur with the above posters; the plan on page 492 is for children who want to experience a majority of all the park rides; the plan on page 494 are for children who will spend most of their time in Fantasyland (Dumbo, Peter Pan, Snow White, etc). With children your age, I think the first plan is more appropriate; if they truly are daredevils, however, maybe the plan on page 490 would be best (that one covers all the thrill rides as well as the major "fantasyland rides"). We did the same as you are planning....hitting everything the first day then covering the "favorites" on our return. Do try e-night if it is available to you. Even tho it costs extra, if your children truly enjoy the "thrill" rides like Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, BTMR, Buzz, etc, it is really worth while (my kids rode each ride 3-4 x during e-night with little wait whereas during the day waits would be 60-90 minute for one ride).
