UG tour guide

Has anyone followed the one day touring with young kids from the UG? Just wondering how that went for you...says there is a lot of backtracking but worth it. I am going to have a hard time explaining this stuff to the family...they think we are just going to go and ride I hope they do not all freak out on me and trust me! I considered the Dumbo do or Die plan, however my dh, dd7, dd9, and myself decided we liked option #2 better...

Now if only WDW would come up with a "nanny at the ride" option...that way my 5 yo can just ride Dumbo all day while we go conquer the Mountains, I just hope I don't hear from DH I told you dd5 would not ride anything...

any ideas for this specific plan appreciated thank you...

btw do you have just one person in the party go retrieve the FP or do you all go together to get the FP??

One person goes to get the fast passes if it involves a long walk there and back to the next step of the plan or if someone doesn't want to ride a ride the kid's are on or such. If not, you'll all be there anyway so it won't matter. Make sure they have everyone's ticket, and where to meet at the next stage of the plan.

We loosely followed the UG tour plans. Meaning, we used it to figure out which rides needed to be done early in the day (Dumbo for instance). After about 11am, we just began riding what was nearby as we walked along. Sometimes I would walk ahead to gather fastpasses. Be sure to stop and smell the roses though! You can easily rush your whole trip away and miss a lot of Disney magic.

I actually did it when my boys were young (lots has changed since then) but I remember dh throwing youngest ds on his shoulders saying "do you see mommy, I lost her" DS "follow the lady with the purple legs - thats our mom" Mind you I was 6 months pregnant, with the vericose veins!!

Really sad when you cant keep up with a pregnant woman!!
