UFOs - Do You Believe?

Do I believe that other life exists out there? Yes. We can't be the only intelligent life form.

Do UFOs exist? It's possible. I do think that some things can easily be explained, but not all. Historical accounts and cultural stories from centuries ago hint at unexplained visitors and sightings well before modern tehnology.

Those accounts also could simply be attributed to a lack of knowledge of science and natural phenomena at the time.

There is no way we are the only intelligent life out there, but I doubt they are doing drive-byes just to make us wonder.

I'm in the school of "there can't not be other, perhaps more, intelligent life out there"

The problem as I see it with stories, fantastic and otherwise, of UFOs and alien encounters is the aeonic life expectancies they would have to enjoy in order to travel to Earth from even the nearest inhabitable planet and return with their gatherings. Rather, I think if an alien intelligence were probing our planet, they would do so with drones that have AI that, unlike our "AI", truly exhibits sentient and intelligent decision processes. Otherwise, such drones would not have been able to evade human capture for all these millenia.

My personal feeling is that the only visitors we get from outer space are meteors and asteroids, and the overwhelming majority of those were born within the cloud of dust that created our own solar system.

Anything is a UFO if you're bad enough at identifying flying things.
Haha

I can't identify most of what I see in the air.

Any intelligent life would likely want to avoid this here planet. We're like the Florida of the universe. And not even the fun parts. We're like the Titusville, FL of the universe.

What a waste of vast space if we are in fact the only intelligent (LOL) life form.

I definitely believe there is something out there... little green men? Doubt it but I don't rule anything out!

Yes, I believe. I'm going to stick my neck right out there and say I have seen them since l960's. I'm sure some of them are from our own planet with engineering we (non-government people) have no knowledge of but they do.
I think it's kind of silly to think that we are the only intelligent species in the entire universe.

I can't disprove it, so I suppose I'll have to believe until I can. But yes, the government has things that most people couldn't conceive -as well as other governments. I've never seen anything or have details, but a close friend that worked very high up the chain confirmed....

If aliens are coming to Earth, I bet they lock their doors as they fly past.......

I think there's other life out there but I refuse to look at a vague light in the sky and fully commit to the idea that it's paranormal. I believe aliens could very well exist, but I need proof.

And too often, if people can't explain something from their own limited perspective, then it "must be aliens!". Abduction stories are really suspect too, as they often resemble cases of sleep paralysis or the witness is being coached by the person performing the hypnosis.

If a sighting coincides with multiple witnesses and is actually tracked by air traffic control and/or the military, then it can be taken more seriously, but even then it could still be something besides aliens.

So it's interesting, but I'm not signed on. Richard Dolan is one of the more grounded researchers on this stuff I'd recommend any UFO fans to look into. He also isn't a member of the New Age UFO cliques like Corey Goode (Corey says he's part of a secret space program and he's met giant bird aliens).

No, I don't believe in non earth human like life. I do think that lots of things that scare us are created to redirect & scare off questions mostly because some offshoots seem like they are intended to make people with questions appear dogey. Like the stories of people getting abducted are probably people getting roofied, assaulted and redirected while under the influence so the real parts get thrown out with the confusion, no-one will pay attention to the confused babbling. IMO no need for out of the world monsters when we have quite a few walking among us now.

^^ Isn't that the guy always on the History channel with another wild theory about aliens and UFO's? He seems to make a career out of dreaming up far-fetched opinions to get more airtime on the History channel but that is true for a lot of what the History channel shows lately...........LOL.

I'm with the group that thinks that Earth can't be the only inhabited planet in the universe. (Millions of species living here and none *anywhere* else?! That doesn't make sense to me.) We might not recognize "life from another planet" if we saw it, but I think it exists. And we're exploring space. Why can't we assume that there might be another life form exploring space, too?

I've never seen an alien, nor have I ever seen anything that I think points to aliens visiting Earth, but it's certainly interesting to think about.

Yes, very much believe there is other life besides us somewhere in the universe. If we just happened to show up one day, who is to say it didn't happen somewhere else?

In terms of UFO phenomena - there is definitely something to it. Too many incidents of sightings and experiences to discount them. Do I think some of them are misidentified aircraft, natural/environmental activity, or optical illusions? Sure thing. But others go beyond that. Same goes for paranormal experiences.

Also believe that military R&D is light years ahead than what they lead the public to believe. And they are more than happy to encourage UFO/ghost/paranormal/whatever stories in order to keep our attention away from "what's behind the curtain."

To answer your literal question - I think most UFO sightings are just that: something seen that is unidentified. I do not believe there are alien ships flying around in our atmosphere.

If the question is: is there alien life out there somewhere? Then yes. The mathematical probability that there isn't life somewhere else in our universe is astronomically small. In just our galaxy alone, there is a rough estimate of around 100 billion stars. That number alone is hard for the mind to conceive. Now imagine each star having some object(s) rotating around it. It's almost impossible to think our sun is the only 1 out of 100 billion that has the right conditions for life. Keep in mind that's only our galaxy. Multiply that by the number of galaxies in our universe...

In all seriousness, I did see a UFO once. (The "U" for unidentified, being the operative letter.) One night, we were outside and saw this light in the sky. It slowly moved across the sky and then stopped & hovered there for about a minute. We're thinking, "Okay, what's a helicopter doing around here?" Then, in a HUGE burst of speed, this thing shot across the sky in the perpendicular direction from which it came. It flew over the house, so we ran behind the house to see this thing. It was gone. I had never, nor seen to this day, anything that could get to a blinding speed from a dead stop.

That was back in the 70's. If it was one of ours, I've no idea what it was.
