Does anyone have any opinions where a good location to live(city, community) would be that is half way between UCF and WDW? In a couple of years I am thinking of moving to the Orlando area from Daytona Beach to attend the main campus of UCF, but I dont want to live right on top of UCF..too congested..and i'd also like to be somewhat near WDW too.

why dont you want to live on campus? Im thinking of goining there in a couple years (junior now) but i dont know a ton about it since i live in Massachusetts and cant just drive down there to check out the campus. Please give any info you have about the school :)

Well unfortunately there isnt an area thats "convenient" to both in my opinion anyway. If its really important for you to be kinda in between, then I would suggest looking somewhere on the 417, as it links disney and the UCF area. I graduated a couple years ago, and the area around Narcoosee road (about midway between) hadn't built up very much yet, but by now they may have added some places.

Narcosse is pretty much as close to being half way between both as you can get distance wise. Time wise Id say closer North would be more in the half way mark.

Hi everyone! I am a senior at UCF. To be honest, you are going to want to live near UCF, it will be a huge PAIN driving on I-4 or other congested roads. All the places in between are toursity/exspensive or gross. Trust me, after a week of driving on major roads/traffic you will want to move. There are nice places near UCF but not ON UCF. I would suggest the Waterford Lakes area or the Avalon Park area. Waterford is a 10 minute drive if you hit traffic lights and Avalon is a 15 minute drive if you hit all the lights. They both are communities, so you have shopping centers/houses/apartments. They are also nicer parts of the town. You will find that it is mixed students and families in Waterford and Avalon.

I live in Waterford in the Victoria Place Apartments, and I love it! It takes me 35-45 minutes to get to Disney and 5-10 minutes to school. There also is a huge shopping center across the street from my place which is REALLY nice!

I could go on forever on advice for you lol, so if you have questions ask away please!

How are the rent prices for waterford lakes and Avalon park??

It varies a lot, with a lot of different options! For example: I live in a 3 bedroom apt. and 3 of us live there. We split the rent 3 ways, it's 1700 before we split. I do live in one of the more exspensive places though with all the bells and whistles. So I am on the high side cost wise. You can live in a house with 3-4 people for 300 a month.

Will you be living by yourself or will you have room mates?
