Uber to Magic Kingdom

We’re planning to take an Uber to Magic Kingdom and I am reading the drop off spot is at the transportation and ticket center. Would it be easier/faster to take the Uber to the contemporary resort and then walk the path over?

This is exactly what I would do and yes, it would be quicker.

Note: it is a bit more expensive than an uber, but a Minnie Van will drop you off in the bus loop right near the MK gates

We’re uber’ing from an offsite hotel near the convention center.

Contemporary is definitely faster, if you let the driver know you're just walking to MK they might be able to drop you right near the guard gate rather than taking you all the way to the main lobby area. Guard gate is closer to the path to MK.
