Uber to Fort Wilderness

Hi everyone

We are staying at a Universal Studios resort prior to checking in at Fort Wilderness. We were thinking of taking an Uber between the two on the day we arrive. Is the Uber allowed to take us through to our site with our luggage? Or do they have to leave us at the front? If we check in online, are we able to just drive straight through?

Thanks

Uber and Lyft drivers must drop off and pick up guests at the Outpost (lobby) just like any other Disney resort, its also the same with a regular taxi.. The only service that can go into the campground is the Minnie van service and they can drop guests off anywhere in the campground.

So does that mean that our only option is to walk our luggage from the Outpost to our site? Or are we allowed to take it on the internal bus service? We are travelling from overseas so we will have a lot. Minnie Van isn’t an option because they won’t pick us up at Universal.

When we've arrived on the magical express, the front desk called for a van to take us and our luggage to our cabin.

Yes, they will shuttle you to your campsite with your luggage and back when it's time to leave.

That's awesome. It makes it easier. We usually have a car but I'm trying to avoid spending $1000+ to have it sitting there everyday while we are in the parks.

Unless something has changed since the last part of May of this year, this is not accurate. My wife and I were picked up by Uber at our campsite when we needed a ride to MK for a very early tour.

Nothing has changed they have never been allowed in the campground, when they come to the guard shack that is where they are told to pick up and drop off at the lobby. Some however choose to disregard that and head into the campground ( hoping for a better tip) if security catches them past the outpost they could be trespassed off of Disney property. Disney does not want them competing with the Minnie van service that is allowed everywhere on Disney property. Another reason they are not allowed in the campground is they are not cast members, Disney vendors, guests or friends and family of guests. Another security issue that came about because of 9/11.
