I keep hearing that uber prices have been inflated recently, not enough drivers I guess. Has anyone felt like they paid a crazy amount from the airport to Swan? I am debating just using uber or maybe I should have a plan b.

Any thoughts?

Compartively to Feb 2020 that low rate is about 30% higher then my wife paid. You can use the apps too estimate your ride or ride.guru to do all options.

That makes more sense! I knew it was higher but that amount seemed crazy.

a 10 minute ride for $61????
If you look at my clock I looked at 10:10 says 10 for driver than arive at 10:45. So about 20-25 min drive. Still really expensive imo but it was later at night.

Rideguru has, at times, significantly understated Uber pricing.

I was checking MCO to PBH. Rates were frequently close to $70. I booked a car service with a 20 minute stop. Car waiting for me with a fixed fare

I personally use a towncar service when I stay at any hotel in the Orlando area. I like the grocery store stop. Pre-Covid, I would use the towncar to get from airport to the hotel, and use Uber/Lyft to get from hotel to airport at the end of my trip -- but I think waits for an Uber/Lyft were shorter and prices were cheaper. If I were doing it now I might consider using the towncar round trip.

Right now www.TiffanyTowncar.com is showing $80 one way and $150 round trip, gratuity not included in those prices. Other people prefer Tony Hinds or www.FLTours.com

Uber prices can vary a lot based on surge times meaning more demand compared to current drivers

Right. And I checked the driver pay for that MCO-Swan ride -- out of that $61 (which a couple of years ago was $30-$35), the driver makes $18.

It is far longer than 10 minutes from MCO to the Swan. There are also toll roads involved, so I think that is calculated into the price.
The 10 min is the wait you have at the airport before they pick you up not the time of the drive.

Sorry, i quoted the wrong post. I updated my post with the correct quote. One person question the cost for a 10 minute ride.
