Uber questions

Hi this will be my first time using Uber. I hear that the wait times for a Uber are fairly good.
I will be at POR looking for transportation to Universal Studios at 7:15am to be at gates open by 8am.
Has anyone every done this early in the morning? What were your wait times? Any recommendations?

Also what is the difference between these options?

While I do not drive in Orlando I an not sure on the travel times. There is a post on this thread with an idea of taxi times. I would think it's almost the same as taxi.
Taxis can wait on site, Uber has to be just off site. Security wil keep an eye for sitting uber drivers.
As far as Uber X is a regular passenger car.
Uber XL seat six including the driver.
uber select is your larger Uber luxury or SUV Black car, but it will not be. Nissan Rouge
There are codes you can download for your first trip for $ off making it a bargain.

My friend visited Orlando 3 months ago and tried to use UBER from the airport. Big mistake. They are illegal at the Orlando International Airport. The security stopped the driver, checked his ID, gave him a ticket ...all that took at least 25 min. She decided to leave and get a cab (there is a yellow cab desk inside). She told me it was very embarrassing.
I'm sure it's ok to use them for transfers to the airport, but not for the airport pick-up...
