Uber or Lyft with a scooter?

What is the best way to get from Disney to Universal if I'll have a rental scooter with me? I've never tried reserving a handicap accessible Uber/Lyft since I usually rent a car, but this time, I'm trying to cut costs and the rental car got axed.

Uber has a class of vehicles called WAV in NYC and they carry ECVs and wheelchairs in addition to passengers. Input your start and end info to your Uber or Lyft app and see if the service is offered in Orlando; no idea what Lyft calls their service assuming they offer it.

I have used a Mear’s taxi that accommodates my rental ECV.

There’s NO accessible Ubers or Lyfts in Orlando (there should be though, given how many rental companies there are.)

I've never seen it as an option. I think I may end up having to get a taxi.

A Taxi costs less than a Uber of Lyft in most places now and they have accessible ones. But if you really want an Uber or Lfyt, DH has ordered XL ones and the drivers have always been willing to help lift his Pride Victory 10 into the car.

Some of the smaller scooters (GoGo) break down and fit in the trunk of a mid-size car or an SUV. However, the parts are somewhat hefty (25 lbs) to lift. I wouldn't choose to do it, but it is an option.

Other options include taking the public bus (Lynx) or not taking your scooter and renting one at Universal for the day.

A MEARS taxi would work for a power wheelchair user? Can these be reserved in advance or you just call the day of and ask for an accessible taxi to appear?

You can't really book in advance, they lie. Call or use the app. Be prepared to wait. It could be 10 minutes it could be 40 minutes.
