Uber from John Wayne Airport

Thanks for the link, yes it was helpful. The interesting thing is that it too just says "look for the signs," so I guess we won't have trouble figuring out just which signs to follow!

This airport is very small and intuitive, I promise. You will easily figure out where to go. Signage is generally very clear.

I thought I read somewhere recently that the Taxis now have a fixed price from SNA and that it wasn't much more than uber. Anybody have any info on that?

ETA: Found it. Looks like 29.00

Thanks for the information! It says $29 to Disneyland and to the Anaheim Convention Center, so does that mean flat rate $29 to Disneyland-area hotels too? Staying at Peacock Suites so wondering specifically about that destination.

It usually means the "Anaheim resort area." So, yes, you should be okay. However, does that price include taxi vans? You may need one with 4 people and luggage.

just checked on the taxi fare and it says it will be approximately $46. Uber xl would be $41

Depends on time of day. When I calculated for mid day arrival during the week, Uber XL was $6 more than a cab.
ALso, I have never paid that much for a cab from SNL to the resort area. They've usually been $36~$38 with one trip being $42 because of detour. .

Also be aware that cabs will quote you a flat rate from the airport to the resort, but often the flat rate doesn't apply to return trips to the airport, and it can be quite a bit more.

Just wondering - what do the signs actually say? The SNA website refers to them as Transportation Network Companies and ride apps as well as by Lyft, Uber and Wingz. We're coming in August and it's helpful to know what to look for on the signs after we collect our bags.

TIA!
Some signs say “ride share pickup area” and others specifically say “Uber, Lyft, and Wingz on level 2”. You basically grab your bags, exit the building, go to the garage across the st, take elevator to the second floor, signs are everywhere, the large area for pickups has benches and a few shade structures for you to wait. Personally I wouldn’t request my Uber until I was at the parking structure. We waited about 5 minutes after ordering this past week. You exact experience may vary based on terminal you land in but it’s basically the same.

Many thanks for the specifics! As I mentioned in an earlier post, our “home” airport doesn’t use such easy to recognize terms on its signs.

If you are departing from one of the three resort hotels, the Valet can provide you with a flat rate taxi voucher back to SNA
