i am getting conflicting info on the best way to use Uber to the MK. Will the Contemporary allow drop offs or do I need to go to the TTC? I am staying offsite and want to go for Early Morning Magic. I'm very familiar with my transportation options once on property.

Thanks!

Have the driver drive toward the Contemporary. Go just past the entrance to the hotel to the point where the monorail track crosses over the road. The driver can pull over there and let you out. You will be right at the brick walkway that will take you to the MK. The driver can then drive about 25-50 yards more to turn around and leave, or the driver can continue along World Drive and exit on Reams Road.

What JimmyV said. We weren't thinking when we used Uber to go to MK for an early tour....dropped us at the TTC. Totally needed to have thought it through more and did what was suggested.

Brilliant solution, even closer than CR. Thanks so much!

Glad I saw this post. I will be dropped off on one of my MK days and was wondering how best to do it. Thanks for info. Any tips on best way to have someone come pick me up?

For pickup, I would take uncertainty out of the equation and just take a monorail to a resort or walk to the CR and hop in a cab there. I wouldn't trust an Uber driver to find an off-the-grid meeting spot.

But having Uber pick you up at CR is still a viable option, right? Instead of using a cab?

What about other parks? Can uber drive into a parking area and drop as close as possible to the entrance at the other park? I've only used disney transporation so I have no idea how this works.

There are already specified designated drop-off/pick-up areas near the front gates at Epcot, DHS and DAK.

Only the MK has the specified drop-off/pick-up at a location (TTC) separate from it's front gates area.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to use Lynx to get back, just didn't fancy catching a bus in the predawn!

Thanks for info. My parents will be the ones dropping off and picking up myself and my son so I will just have them pick us up at the designated spot at the TTC.

basically take transportation anywhere else and get it there or walk to contemporary. It can be a great time to ride the ferry, monorail or smaller resort boat if you've never done it or interested in doing that during your visit. Many that dont' drive to disney have never done the ferry. closing at MK you'll pass the floating electric barge thing if you take a small boat to Wilderness lodge.

If I'm still peppy, I usually walk to contemporary and when i'm not and the ferry line isn't horrid, I take the ferry to TTC and sit down a lot. you will pass the ferry line to see it on your way to the walkway.

be careful when leaving, if your close to closing time, there will probably be a surge price for awhile. Contemporary is really handy if this happens and it has a/c, restrooms and you can look around while you wait for it to get to normal prices in 20-25 minutes. even 1.2x the rate is a huge difference in cost to take uber. 1.3x and the taxi might have been a better idea (also readily available at everywhere). 1.8 and higher and you'l be shocked what it'll cost to go even 20 minutes away.

Your driver may not be willing to risk a ticket or being scolded by Security for making an illegal stop and dropping off in an unsafe area -- not to mention the liability issues.
