Typical Weather in October

We will be there from October 5-8.

I think you can get a lime green Mickey Head at the Home Depot paint counter. Not sure what brand of paint it is, though. It is just one of those color strips, and the lime green is a Mickey Head.

However, I do not speak from personal experience. I'm sure someone out there knows more than I do...?

Unfortunately, I think I will miss seeing you, as we are checking out on the 5th, but I think Cseca and Prettyprincessbelle might still be there for an extra day so maybe you guys will all end up on the same ride together at the same time!

Thanks for the LGM info. If I get to a Home Depot before October 2, I will grab one. Otherwise, I will just have to look for LGM's on other people!

speaking of LGM's, just curious how people attach them to their backpacks or whatever they are putting them on? i'm fairly new to the boards, but my DH was kind enough to grab a few for me from home depot when he was there last weekend. i'm totally going to be on the lookout for LGMs while i'm at DL 10/9 - 10/11!

I'm going to put mine on my Buzz backpack. I'll be there from the 10th - 12th. If you're going to MTOTP, maybe we'll run into eachother there, or even at the park during the day !!

I have to agree, I like DLR in colder weather, but I am also looking forward to the decor. If its a bit hot, it will still be worth it just for the magic

Hey, Princessplazola! I thought I remembered you as being one of the 'who's going in October' people, but I didn't remember you being there on the same exact days! Cool! (You do have an adorable little boy - I always smile when I see him in your signature!) There are a handful of folks who will be there when we are, or maybe will overlap by a day. I know that Cseca is one who will be there when you and I are, and some others I am forgetting at the moment. (I will have to check the Who's Going In October? thread again!) I actually just added the night of the 2nd to my existing reservation, to make it three nights instead of two! (And I found all kinds of nifty ways to rationalize to myself why I should add on an extra night! ) I was initially trying to get into the PPH or the DLH on the weekend Wazowskilover is going to DLR - 10/10 - 10/12 - but the PIN# discount that I used had no more rooms available for that weekend, so I ended up with 2nd - 5th, which is fine with me! I figure that is probably fate telling me that is the weekend I am supposed to be there! Where do we get these Lime Green Mickeys I keep hearing about, to help identify us as DISboard members? If I knew where to get one, I would.

Anyway, to answer your question, I am still debating about the MTOT party. If we go, it will be on October 3rd, right? I was on the fence about it because I don't know if my friend would be up for it, and we are supposed to be meeting up with a couple of other friends and I don't know if they will be with us that night or the next day yet, so everything is still up in the air! Also, I am in the process of deciding whether or not to get an AP when I am there, so if I do, I may decide to skip the TOT party to save some money! Plus, we would be going just as us, not in costume, so it would mainly be to just sort of take in the extra Halloween ambience if we go to the party. I don't want to wait too long to decide on whether or not we go because the tickets may sell out. So if I do, then I will post it on here or PM you or something and maybe we can meet up and say hello for a minute! I have to find a lime green mickey head!

hi Sherry E! thank you for the compliment to my son, thats very sweet of you thats so funny that we will be there on the exact same days! and so many other dis members too! im glad you added on the 2nd...you can never get enough DL! i was originally going the 2-6, but my brother who is going with us couldnt get the 6th off from work, so we have to leave a day earlier like you, im thinking of using that extra money to upgrade to an AP! im a big halloween freak so i couldnt resist the MTOT! lol but hopefully we can meet up and say hi! i would looooove that i want one of those green mickeys too! i never heard of them....what are they exactly?? like paint sample pics? ive seen those at home depot...ill try and go today and see if i can get one, and ill post a pic of it

I'm planning a big family trip in October and I was planning on making shirts. My uncle was mildly complaining of my color choice for the shirts because he said he was worried about getting hot (they're dark grey).

Does anyone know the typical weather for when we go (Oct. 10th-12th) ? I just want to make sure so I know what to pack and how to dress for the Trick or Treat Party !

Any info would be greatly appreciated !

Hi, PRINCESSplazola! I am really torn about the MTOTP. I want to go, but I am trying to find out from my friends when they are meeting up with my other friend and me - Friday or Saturday. Once I learn that, then I can decide further on the MTOTP. Even if I don't have a costume on at all (I can always grab a silly hat in New Orleans Square at the last minute if need be!), I would like to go in and see the extra Halloween stuff. Unfortunately, I may have to make a close-to-last minute decision on the TOTP, and I realize that it may sell out. I guess it is the risk I will have to take! I am about 85% positive I will get the Premium AP, because the benefits and advantages of it sound too good to pass up, so when it gets to be like a couple of weeks before the TOTP, then I will check the financial situation and make a final decision.

Are you going to the TOTP on the 3rd? Or is it happening on the 4th as well? I guess the Lime Green Mickeys are the paint sample things at Home Depot, from what people are saying.

Yes, I added the extra night because it seemed to be sensible, so I do all the upgrading of tickets and what not the night before, and get that out of the way on Thursday night so I don't have to deal with it on Friday morning. Plus, it is extra time to be able to catch a meal at DLR and check out some shops in DTD. If we get down to DLR before it gets TOO late in the evening, then maybe we can even go into the park for a couple of hours on the 2nd. I am excited about it, the closer it approaches! It is almost the same as when I was a little girl, and I knew a Disneyland trip was coming up soon! I was so excited, I was already planning in my mind everything I wanted to do (regardless of what the adults in the group had in mind for me!).

Sherry E, i might have an extra ticket to the MTOT if you decide to go and its sold out (or even if its not). my cousin still doesnt know if he will be able to make it, and if he doesnt we will have an extra ticket i can give you . ill probably know for sure more towards mid-sept if he will be able to go or not. and a silly hat will do just fine for the MTOT oh, and it is on the 3rd, im not sure if there will be one on the 4th, but we're going on the 3rd for sure.

you are so lucky to be getting a premium AP! if we can afford it when we go, we'll definitely do it too, but we're probably going to have to do the deluxe lol i hope i spelled that right. how often do you usually go to DL? im sure you'd get plenty use out of that premium AP

and i know what you mean! DL just makes you feel like a little girl again im soooo excited too! it seems like all i do all day is plan for this trip! hahaha i love it though!! we're trying to get there really early on the 2nd too....i think we're gonna leave san jose around 4am to get there early enough to enjoy the day! its soooooo exciting!!
