Typical late July events at WDW?

I'm trying to plan a trip with my parenst using my DVC points (thus having to plan in advance) for next July before my kids go back to school. Are there typically any huge events in July that woudl efect WDw attendance? Or just the usual summer crowds? I woudl avoid the 4th. Thansk for any help!

Far as I know the 4th is it.

We went July 2002 the 12th through the 18th and had a really good time.To our surprise it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be!

We went the last week of July last year and park attendance was decent. The weather is VERY hot and humid and it rains every afternoon, though.

There was a press event at MGM Studios where they had actors from the new fall shows on ABC. I don't think it drew crowds to WDW, but it certainly jammed up the Studios for a morning.
