Typical day on ship

then bring a LOT of towels so you can tie them all up and move around at your leisure.....

said nobody ever (welllll, almost nobody):crazy2::rolleyes:

I question why I have waited this long to book a cruise....sounds so wonderful! I really can't wait!!! I started a new company and I'm paying for this family vacation all on my own!! Its a surprise to my hubby and 2 sons, 11 and 8.

You know, as someone who has never done a cruise before, but is considering one for the future, this and other threads are making the pools on the ship sound like a rather miserable experience, given the apparent crowd levels and competition for the spots. Or am I misreading that?

I can tell you that we have done one 3-night and the family pool and kids pool were like people soup. On longer cruises it isn't as bad because there is more time to do everything, including the pools. I don't even like walking thru the pool deck area on a 3-night because of all he congestion.

ive been on several cruises, several cruise lines and not once used a pool. too busy with other things. I have sat on a lounger and relaxed and read but not at the pool.

I recommend that you bring a highlighter with you and pick the one (maybe two) must try thing(s) on the Navigator. 3 days will go by very quickly and as others have said you won't be able to do it all.

I wish you the best on your first cruise. Hope you will get addicted to them like we have. Cruise #7 and #8 in February!!! Best wishes.

I can say that "people soup" is a great way to describe the kids pool. The kids don't seem to mind it, though. It's definitely better during meals in the evening, etc. Sitting in a deck chair by one of these pools may be nice, but relaxing is not the way I would describe it. Get a deck chair a little further away from the action, and you'll be much happier.
