Has anyone ridden this water coaster yet? I'm not a huge fan of roller coasters and I know my GF's daughter is going to want to ride this when she sees it so I'd like to know what I'm going to get myself into. I love fast rides that twist and turn but I hate the large drops. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks.

We were there when it 1st opened. Just keep your "butt" up and you'll have a great time. One family from UK told me they hurt themselves because they hadn't lifted theirs. It's really neat to watch the slide, especially as you see the tubes go up hill. The lines were long, so either go 1st thing or before closing. Have fun!

DS10 & I went on it in April and really liked it - not too bad! :) But take the advice and keep your butt up!!!!

What does that mean? Keep your butt up? Dont you have to sit on your butt to ride? What do you sit on, a tube or raft? Do you lay on your back?

:Pinkbounc I'd like to read this answer also. What does it mean, "keep your butt up"??

I think you are in a tube, so if you let you bottom sort of hang too low in the middle of the tube, it may be uncomfortable. If you sit a little higher up on the tube (actually lay out a little horizontally) you shouldn't have a problem.

Exactly!

DS14 and I spent the good part of a Friday morning at Typhoon Lagoon and tried this "water coaster" I'd seen a show on the Travel Channel about the water park in Texas that has a water coaster and I've been looking for a chance to get over there. So this was a "must-do" for us.

Early in the morning there is little wait to try these "coasters" There are three different ones. All start with a steep dip down and a strong water flow helps to push you back up the hill at the beginning. After that, it's pretty much gravity and momentum that carry you through the rest of the ride.

You do ride on a tube built for either two or three persons. Lightest person rides in front, heaviest in back. Try your best to lie across the tube so that your bottom doesn't hang in the hole of the tube. One of the "tracks" has a very steep drop at one point and if you're not lying across the tube, you'll hit your tailbone pretty hard.

All in all, we enjoyed each of the three "tracks" but we wished they lasted longer.

About how long does this coaster acually ride for? Is it worth a good wait? How much fun is it? I want to go on it during our trip in about 2 weeks and I just wanted to know that if there happens to be a line, should we wait in it? :p
