typhoon lagoon

Arrive when it opens, get a locker, establish a spot for your party to meet at (you will ultimately get split up) and have fun.

Keep your bottom well up in the tube on the Crush-n-Gusher!

Steer clear of as many bodies as possible in the wave pool. That wave gets HUGE! And the bodies crash into you like crazy! :teeth:

let us know how it goes...we are thinking of going there in october!

watch the walls of lazy river and the bottom of the Wave Pool .

I saw so many little kids (including mine put her hands down to stop from falling) get cut up from the them .

One small maybe 10 was just sitting in the shallows with his sister the small wave just rolled him over a bit and cut his entire back up.

It was very fun as always we only did them in the afternoon after the rain ht so they cleared out a bit .

I was just there. We packed really light and staked out a place. My wife carried the keys to the world in a waterproof carrier. Crushngusher is really fun, not that scary, that and shark reef should be your first two events. Shark reef is great, especially if you have never snorkelled.

Family raft is fun... storm slides...and the lazy rivier is great too.

Get there early and tay until it gets crazy...but it is a lot of fun.

We are planning one trying Typhoon Lagoon in Oct. In our many trips to WDW we have never tried the water parks. Do you recommend any type of aqua shoes? Can you wear them on the slides and in the lazy river? Can you bring a cooler? We will put anything of value in a locker but do people usually put towels or personal items to "claim" a table or set of chairs? I don't necessarily want to "claim" an area. There will only be 3 of us and we can deal with just finding some place to sit when we get ready to sit but my fear is we won't be able to find any place.

I would not worry about a space during October (as long as it is a weekday). I always found a spot when I was there during that time. Even in the afternoon spots can be found. Unless you want to be on one of the chairs near the big wavepool (packed as a sardine)... But there nicer places around the park to sit... However I would first find a place to sit and leave your towel.... Sorry, no answer about the cooler...

Enjoy... I SO L°O°VE Typhoon Lagoon

When are you going?

In the summer months there is a t-storm almost daily. When it rolls in they close down the park. I've never stuck around to find out if they re-open the pools & slides if it blows through quickly.

If you find yourself in one either make haste to your car/bus or plan on waiting a bit as the traffic jam in the parking lot puts 8am rush hour on rt128 to shame.

YES! YES! Not only will your feet burn due to the temperature of the pavement but mine got torn up realllll bad. I could barely walk and we were only there for about an hour but had walked ALL over the place last week so we walked all the way to the front of the park and spent the $16 to get adult water shoes. Best $16 I ever spent. Those were a life saver! You can wear them on most slides and the lazy river for sure. I know the rides that go straight down you can not wear them. Have fun!

I've found the last 3 hours before the park closes to be the nicest time of day to be at a water park at Disney. People begin leaving around 2pm.

Thanks for all of the advice! Is there anything that you have discovered that we should or shouldn't do? I appreciate any tips.

Does anyone know if it there is a charge to park your car @ Typhoon Lagoon? :wave2:
