Typhoon Lagoon vs Blizzard Beach for Adults

Which water park would you recommend for 3 adults? My son (now 19), my husband, and myself have been to Disney many times since my son was 3, but we have never been to one of the water parks. We are not super thrill seekers, but have been on every ride in the other 4 parks.....EE, RnRc, SM, BTMT, Splash, ToT, etc....Any suggestions for our upcoming trip????

There are good and bad to both IMHO.

We are a family of mainly adults too (DH, me, DD21 and DD17). We just returned from a trip and did both water parks. We've done both BB and TL multiple times on other trips too.

Blizzard Beach Favorite Things:

• The family ride is super long and awesome!
• The chair lifts!

Typhoon Lagoon Favorite Things:

• The awesome wave pool!! I could spend hours in there, it is so much fun!
• The shark reef is very cool!
• I prefer the lazy river here as I think its a little deeper than the one at BB

Overall, in my family's opinion if we had to choose one over the other, our choice would be Typhoon Lagoon hands down.

Definitely TL. BB is more thrill-slides oriented.

There are definite pluses and minuses for each park, depending on your point of view. Here are mine:

Typhoon Lagoon
Prettier park - great theming.
Some nice, milder slides.
Shark Reef.
Better lazy river, IMO (no freezing water falling on you!).
Wave pool is pretty rough - you can get scraped up pretty easily.

Blizzard Beach
Longer, wilder slides.
Chair lift (but it was broken when I was there).
Gentler wave pool (my pick).
Lazy river - you can get doused with freezing water!).

My pick is TL. Just wish the wave pool was gentler!

They're both worth doing and the PP summed them up pretty well,TL is a more relaxing park,more shade,less stairs to climb,slides are not as thrilling but are still pretty good like the Crush n Gusher water coaster,the shark reef is also a unique attraction.Lazy river is good and the wave pool is bigger and unique since it has a big wave mode at certain times,just be careful about scraping your knees.

BB is still a very good waterpark as it has overall superior slides when compared to TL,for example the family raft ride at TL is VERY tame and boring while BB has one of the best ones out there.The other slides are also more exciting like the racing mat slides and the tube slides.I love the mega thrilling summit plummet but it usually has a long wait which annoys me along with the layout of the park since all the slides are up the mountain so it also gets annoying and tiring going up the same couple of stairs,the chairlift only gives you access to a couple of slides and also can have a wait.The wave pool is good but a bit boring and the lazy river is good and comparable to the TL one but just watch out for the freezing water falling on you on the caves.

We are two adults and chose TL over BB. The wave pool is great at TL but it is rough, so it's ideal for adults that don't have kids with them to worry about. We also loved the lazy river and the "tamer" water slides as I'm not one for the big slides. The shark reef was also a cool experience.

We are two adults and definitely prefer TL over BB. That said, this year TL will be closed when we are there and we have to do BB if we want to do a water park (which we do). I'm actually kind of bummed about it. I don't like thrill rides (at ALL), so it looks like a day of lazy river (with cold water dumping on me) and a kind of boring wave pool (LOVE TL wave pool!). We will make the most of it though and still have fun.

Alternatively, if you stay at the Beach Club or Yacht Club, the pool area, Stormalong Bay, is like a water park itself. It is complimentary for guests of the hotels and no one else is admitted, so it doesn't get too crowded. DH and I prefer it to either of the water parks.
