It has been several years since we've been to Typhoon Lagoon. AllEars has info on lounge chairs you could reserve, but it seems like the info is from 2012. Anyone know if they still do this & the current cost? I'm not talking about the Beachcomber Shacks which cost a few hundred. This is for 2 lounge chairs with an umbrella, small table & towels. Cost listed on Allears is 40 something, I think. Thanks!

We did it last August, and while I can't remember the cost, I believe all the info that was on AllEars was still accurate at that time.

Thanks for your help! It's just DH & me. I don't feel like fighting for a decent chair/ spot so I think this would be perfect.

I've been thinking about doing this as well. Anyone know how quickly these go in october? Am I safe doing same day availability or should I book in advance?

I went on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and I'm pretty sure they sold out in advance. I don't know if they'd still be around on same-day in October.

I'm pretty sure the cost was just over $50, btw, but we thought it was worth it. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! I'm definitely leaning towards it. Good to know others thought it was worth it!

We were at TL in October 2013 a couple times. There was hardly anybody there and waits even for Crush n Gusher was like 10 minutes at its worst. I would not pay a dime for any special table in October. Most photos I have of my daughter there is not even another person in the photo, in the background. Its the slowest I have ever seen TL.

I was told that you couldn't reserve the Preferred Seating at the Water Parks. Was I misinformed??? Having a reserved spot with 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella sounds like a great idea, whether it is $40 or $50. I would love a "cabana" (which I was told you could reserve) but I can't justify the cost.

This may be the best advice here. Remember while I thought it was "worth it", I was there in the middle of a holiday weekend marking the end of summer.

Apparently, 'cause I did it. ;)

We reserved ours in mid August when crowds were crazy. We also went a few years ago in October and while the lines were shorter we still had a terrible time finding chairs.

Back in the day we would go on big family trips during spring break and never had any trouble getting plenty of chairs. Of course we always got there at rope drop and this was in the days before you could reserve "preferred seating" but who knows, if it's worth it to you go for it. I wouldn't do it but then again I'm cheap.

Hmmm... I think we will have to play it by ear. We plan on going mid week so maybe I can call a day or so before and see if they can let us know how the crowds have been and then go from there. Don't want to spend the money but if its crowded will be a must!!

Thanks again everyone!
